  1. I love it when people aren't "hip" to Roman Numerals --- but , I must admit that I've forgotten what "51" , "6" , and "500" are in Roman Numerals , and I am LIVID !
  2. Additionally ; I'm loving the way you're building this wagon ! They were plentiful when I was younger ( even into the mid-80's around here ) , as were their sedan counterparts . That gold paint is bringing back some pleasant memories !
  3. 1966 & earlier were Powerglide only, regardless of engine (the T.H. 400 was reserved for the full-sized cars until 1967 ; the T.H. 350 didn't appear until 1968 , IIRC... ) .
  4. Not to mention that those pursuit cars were Slicktop .
  5. hpi guy ( Chris ) seems to have built a convincing -- and quite lovely -- version from the latest release : Yes , I'm well aware of the shortcomings of this long-in-the-tooth kit ; however , many of its additions seem to be worth the price of admission ( nice decals , nice tyres , nice slicks , and that cool 'Christmas Tree' )
  6. Has anyone converted the manual trans to a 727 in this kit ? I'm not talking about swapping the 1971 Charger chassis , etc. , for the kit's so-so arrangement ; I'm talking about only converting it to a correct transmission .
  7. Looks like a California beach car ! I've seen a number of cars at the beach whose one-side was nice , and the other riddled with rust bubbles and rust-through .
  8. I've read that article , and about the car in which it was installed ( a rare **hardtop** M-Code 1969 Barracuda ; it was Hoover's Mover in the days of Direct Connection ) , and I can't see where the engine was ruined or butchered via modifying it ( though I admit that I'm not a fan of those Edelbrock air cleaner / filtre assemblies ) .
  9. Let us not forget the obscure Toro-Flow diesel engines !
  10. Michal Špíšek . I am really liking your scale representations of vehicles from the United States -- keep going with the fantastic work ! By the way ; the background appears to be quite nice -- clean and beautiful .
  11. I keep coming back to admire those front wheels and tyres --- work of art in its own right ! Keep 'em coming , Tom !
  12. What do those lovely lads have to with this ?
  13. Nice additions and modifications / improvements ! That c.1990 AMT Dana 60 never looked right to me -- looks closer to a Chrysler 9.25" rear or 1973-1980 . Colour combo ? GB7 blue with B5 / B7 interior .
  14. Fantastique Olds ! What engine's under that bonnet ? 303 Rocket ? Hydramatic ?
  15. One of them -- I believe it was the Bad Actor issue -- had a square of felt 'carpeting' with an adhesive backing .
  16. 1953-1955 F-100 , please . 1967-1972 C/K Series 1973-1979 C/K Series 1970-1972 El Camino / GMC Sprint 1984-1988 El Camino / Caballero 1980-1986 F-Series 1972-1993 Dodge D/W Series
  17. Crony Capitalism is rampant in the "Golden" state . As a life-long resident of this ridiculous state , I'd leave so fast and so hard if I had the financial means ! I'm in favour of alternative energy ---- I just don't want to be FORCED into acquiescing to that , esp. since it's in its infancy .
  18. Off the top of my head : - St. Louis - Los Angeles - Lynch Road
  19. Los Angeles used black primer , which was unique to that plant .
  20. Thanks for the positive replies and examples !
  21. That's the name ! It's the Wet Look Clear ( is that under the "One Shot" banner ? ) . Thank you .
  22. I'm going to be building a 1971 Hemi 'Cuda in FM3 ; I already have the colour ( Testors 2-stage paint ) , but am lacking the specific gloss clear --- will the One Shot clear be okay atop the lacquer base-colour coat ?
  23. I've had the best luck and best results with this stuff . No need for special base coats ; no need for specific-colour bases ; looks just as impressive whether the base is flat , satin , or gloss . And , it flashes quickly ; safely can be handled within 24 hours ; is impervious to multiple handlings .
  24. The 1970 Swinger 340 could serve as the basis for a 2-in-1 kit ; the Canadian Swinger Special 340 of 1971-1972 ! Just put the 1971-1972 rear bumper / tail lamps setup in the 1970 kit -- the base interiors are shared between those years .
