  1. The AMT 1968 El Camino SS 396 would be great to see again
  2. At last ! The 1955 Nomad makes its return ! No more ridiculous ebay prices ! My only concern : were those garbage custom tyres replaced with new versions ? I'm in for that Pacer, too . Haters gonna hate , and I. Don't. Care.
  3. I don't want to wrestle with that fidgety AMT 1969 Chevelle. We need a new- tool 1968-1972 Chevelle, Bottom line. Definitely a Freudian slip on my end regarding the Sportabout ; I meant to say Runabout
  4. ...and , pretty please , Round2- - I hope that the MPC Toyota Supra moulds are good / decent enough for restoration ! That was one of my favourite foreign car kits ever !

  6. - 440 / 440 Six Barrel version of the Revell 1970. ' Cuda - 1971 'Cuda - 1970 Charger - Pinto Sportabout - 1970Dart Swinger ( good lord , wouldn't a stock 340 version with the 426 Hemi and its related hardware be the best ?!! An A/MP 1970 Swinger would be sweet !) - 11970-1972 El Camino of - 1969 COPO Chevelle Yes , half of those in my list are 'in-my- dreams' , but others are realistic .
  7. I can hardly wait for the AMT 1/16 Nomad to be reissued ! Is that a scale that would interest you?
  8. "You can't sleep here , the snails will crawl on your face ."
  9. Any and every old-in- a - new- box Revell kit in the 70s !! The 57 Chevy was oone which I attempted time and again only to toss it or give it away . MPCs horrid decals in the 70s also . Absolute garbage !! Those pieces of dung would disintergrate instantly , even on new relaeses !!
  10. One would certainly hope so . Last AMT Pacer WAGON kit I had was of the circa 1977 annual . I bought it at FedCo in 1982 for less than a dollar (!) . The 1987 Whittier Earthquake destroyed it ... and 98% of my collection up to that point .
  11. I swear , man , this corresponding via a tablet is as exercise in frustration ! Stop "autocorrecting" me !
  12. fOr the longest timeI was under the impression that Rallye Wheels were still available in 1980 . However , all of my research has turned up the other , body coloured wheels as being the correct wheels ; apparently , there were some anodised, stylled aluminimum wheels available as well (?) . I'm planning on using either Rallye wheels or plan wheels with hubcaps . Time " wheel" tell ?
  13. qUite nice to see the 1/16 scale 1955 Nomad making a return ! I hope that better tyres find their way into this reissue .
  14. I have an original issue of this kit ; the T-tops aren't molded in , per see ; those are just (obtrusive) trimming guides. I can't stand T-tops, either .With some careful filing and sanding ,those obnoxious t'-top lines should disappear .
  15. Another vote of favour for Tamiya! I use their paints (and their adhesives and putties) almost exclusively , and have for 20 years+ . To add to the fanfare ; I have two bottles of Tamiya paints which are now 30 years old , and theyre just as good as they were the day I opened them in 1986 ! Expensive , but worth every cent !
  16. Depnds on what I'm working on . If it's an assembly which begs for something chill , then I'll listen to classical . Something that calls for imagination , I'll listen to Nuggets or DeathRock or psychedellic .
  17. I thought that it was going to be the M/P car , judging by the crossram induction (Stock and Super Stock required a stock-ish induction , iirc) .
  18. Looks like another beauty is in the works ! Is that their Modified Production car ?
  19. Are you going to convert that bad boy to a 4-speed ?
  20. I had a few of the 1978 Monza annual kits back when they were new . I loved them because of the cartoon mouse , which reinded me of the cartoon MIghty Mouse ; I just had to have it every time I saw it ! Of course the MPC decals of that era turned to confetti in short order , which used to throw me into a rage immediately .hopefully Round2 will reissue the 1978 annual , " mouse" decals and all...
  21. Wow !!! That is so clean !!!! I miss the days of being able to buy clean , dirt cheap Dusters , Darts , Variants , etc . Would you so kind as to share you technique of building that bench seat ?
  22. You can always do what the factory did on blemished roofs : add a vinyl top ! Seriously though , that sucks ! I managed to "burn-through" the finish on the AMT 1969 Chevelle convertible I'm building .granted , the burn will be unrecognisable when I'm finished, but I am frustrated nevertheless . Don't give up on that gorgeous Charger!
  23. If I don't find anything that I like about a fellow hobbiest's build , then I will refrain from commenting at all . Now , if they're asking for a critique, and I have some positive , worthwhile tips or opinions to offer, then I will offer my ideas / pointers, I certainly hope that when I get around to sharing my builds , that I will receive both positive * and* negative replies,
  24. Personally , I find dry heat to be insufferable . Perhaps it's my Celt blood , but I'll take humid heat over dry heat any day . Thankfully it's not bone dry here , even with the 100+ degree temps . There were some clouds on Saturday , and there's supposed to be some tomorrow , too . That'll help A LOT .
