  1. Great to hear from you, George!
  2. I'm pretty certain that items such as wiper(s) were only required in Stock classes , and perhaps Factory eXperimental.
  3. from the 1966-1967 travelling multimedia show 'Andy Warhol Exploding Plastic Inevitable' to 'Rock & Roll High School' and as Mike Muir's mum in the 'Institutionalized' video ...
  4. TCM is a god send! Love Film Noir the most ; lots of great footage of Bunker Hill ( which was demolished in the 60s , to much protest ) . I'm also a fan of French and Spanish films , new and vintage . My favouriteTV. programme is the Jack Benny Show , as he is one of my favourite comedians . The Monkees. .. many fond memories. M
  5. Gregory Peck James Mason Sir Laurence Oliver Edward G. Robinson Jack Nicholson Dennis Hopper Betty Davis Yvonne D'Carlo Mary Woronov There are too many to list! !
  6. Autocorrect AND tablet strike again !!
  7. The tPackail light lenses are blobs ,but that's no biggie. Both engines were tire-burned ; no problem, as I' m planning to use either a Parts Pack engine or the extra FE from the AMT. 1960 Ford .
  8. God only knows how many of the 1970s issues of the' 57 hardtop I attempted to build back in the 70s ... to no avail. I especially liked the Lowrider (moulded in pink metallic) , as it looked like the cars I'd see cruising on Whittier Blvd. The Astro Supremes, organ pipe speakers, the stance ...a visual delight! I have the original 1962 issue of the 1956 F-100 which I got for next to nothing via eBay. Still getting my chops back , as I don't want to dig in until I'm confident in my skills. Tim- I remember your 1985 article in SAE , comparing the 1953-1956 F-100 kits , and would like to read yout c.1983 1957 Chevy comparo.
  9. Then there's the 1967 & later brake master cylinder ...
  10. I clearly recllthat the Monogram 1986 Monte Carlo SS was the kit which suffered from pulled-too-soon-from-the-mould warpage. That was when the kits were still 100% US made .
  11. I second Bill's information. The Rallye Gauge panel has always been a head-scratcher for me ; I was of the school of thought that the round "cockpit" dash was standard with the R/T, and optional with the Super Bee . I was wrong on both accounts ! Hamtramck Historical is thee best MoPar page around . A definite " rabbit hole " , for sure --- but worth every minute one can spend there !
  12. Isn't this kit a phantom of sorts ( ie, roadster and big block ) ? Regardless, it's great having it again . BTW, the 1975. 360 Dart Sport and Duster 360 outpaced the Corvette , acceleration-wise.
  13. The crate Hemi doesn't surprise me . Lots of Pro Stock cars with factory support , not to mention NASCAR, et al. The 440 Six Pack was the last high compression engine produced ; 10.25:1 compression , 330 net horsepower.
  14. And to get really picky ; the air cleaner assembly was "Air Cleaner Orange" on the Ramcharger equipped engines ( eg, non-fresh air intake engines had round , black-painted air cleaners .... unless the Noise Reduction Package was ordered / mandated ; those received a "silenced" air cleaner --- think : 1967 440 and the two snorkels air cleaner ) . Also : 1969 was the last year for the breather / oil filler setup . 1970 models had the rocker covers redesigned ; the breather and oil fill were now separated , and were switched to the right ( passenger ) side , and the PCV switched to the left (driver) side .
  15. UPDATE : 23.08.2016: The red 1972 Road Runner, RM23V2G, is featured in the latest issue of Muscle Car Review !! What a beauty it is ; its list of options is quite extensive ( factory cassette with microphone was $300 alone in 1971 ! ) . Now , where are the rest of the 1972 440 Six Pack / 6Bbl cars ?
  16. The 1969 1/2 Super Bee was the only way to get the "M" code 440 Six Pack . One couldn't even order disc brakes ; the only options were : TorqueFlite or 18 spine 4 speed ; coupe or hardtop, and a few other items . All of them had a Dana 60 ,regardless. With that in mind ; who's to say that the owner of a 1969 Coronet R/T didn't pick up an Edelbrock intake and Holley 2300s from Hustle Stuff (predecessor to Direct Connection) ?
  17. Although the Hemi package mandated 15" wheels ( from 1968-onward.) , I would still love to see a stock version include the W11 Deluxe Wheel Covers as option ; those would be correct for any 1970-1971 Dodge with any other engine ( 225, 318 , 340 , 383 , 440 , and 440 Six Pack ) . As far as 15" wheels are concerned ; either standard steel wheels ( in body colour) with hubcaps, or the ( dime a dozen ) Rallye Wheels . " Magnum 500's " were 14 " only on Chryslers ( their true nomenclature is Road Wheels ) . Still awaiting for someone to offer Spyders in their kits ...
  18. I am quite hopeful for a stock 1970 Charger ( or at least a 2- in- one with Vintage parts as an option ) . I hope that some rolling stock that consists of deluxe wheel covers ( ie, the new for 1970 14" wheel covers ) , and not another set of ( yawn ) Rallye Wheels ( !!!! ) .
  19. There was a special order green for Spring 1969 , too . It was very close to --if not the exact same-- as Chevy Rallye Green.
  20. That is one super kit !! In my opinion , every one should at least buy one of these groungbreaking kits , if for nothing else to exhibit our -- the hobbiests' -- support for Round2 and their growth . Very few newer cars do it for me ; however I do rather like the new Camaro. .. This one is going to end up in my collection ! I like the potable front wheels , but would like to see Round2 offer an option : one " simplified" steering setup , and one detailled setup. Thanks for the comprehensive review and photos , Tim!
  21. What was the last year for the small(er) backlight? 1974 ? I would love to see a good 1974 Camaro- -- the NicKey Type LT just begs to be replicated !
  22. I want for the Supra to see the light of day again ! Talk about unique ----- who besides the Japanese companies were modelling Japanese subjects in the 80s? ?
  23. Bill , I wish to tee my hat into the ring regarding the engine / transmission : Aside from the aforementioned 4 bolt rocker covers , and the induction setup , there are two distinct items onthe 1961 models : 1. ) Last year for the Road Draft Tube ( first year for CCV- - later , PCV- - on California models ) 2.) Last year for the cast iron Torqueflite. ( A-488 ) , which was the only transmission available, IIRC ( no 4 speeds at least ... except for the 1962 Point-a-Mousson trans from France) .
  24. 1971-1974 Dodge and Plymouth models had houndstooth as an option : Dart , Demon , Charger , 1971 Challenger , Coronet ; Duster, Valiant , Scamp , Road Runner , GTX, Satellite, 1971 Barracuda . The best source for Chrysler: Hamtramck Historical P.S. : I love the 1969 Camaro Daytona Yellow houndstooth!
  25. Thank you , Bill and Rob ! That kit was ostensibly on my subconscious ; I now recall reading about it on this forum (ha ha ha) .
