  1. Thanks.Just looked in my Little Red Wagon, and it has Hemi covers, and plain chrome covers. The plain covers look like the AMT 340 Duster covers, but are considerably shorter in length. Just looking to spruce up the 340.
  2. I’ve used this for years. It’s a bit expensive, a bit more than Tamiya primer, but it lasts me a while. Just paint the surface with gloss black before “lightly” applying the chrome. It’s about the best chrome in a can I’ve used.
  3. Thanks. I’ve checked around before I posted this. Reliable Resin has a set of smooth covers, with a supplied decal. But I’d give my money to charity before sending it to RR.
  4. Does anyone know if there are any suppliers that carry a Mopar S/B valve cover like this?
  5. If I’m not mistaken, Speed City Resin has those.
  6. What a beauty this is becoming. Those hub caps are flawless. The nicest Galaxie build Ive seen.
  7. Very interesting build for me, as I owned a similar 92 Formula drag car. I will be following.
  8. The manufacturers threw us a 70 Buick, and a Buick grand national, and a Olds Cutlass. Cant think of many more.
  9. Thanks for the positive reply, David. The engine is pretty much done. The only things left is a throttle cable and return spring. The smallest beading wire I have is 28 gauge, which is kind of thick for a spring. I’m going to have to find a super fine wire, maybe a 32 or 34 gauge? I plan on leaving the air cleaner removable on the car. I have an extra hood, and I plan on adding four styrene rods on each corner, so I can display it open, and use the other pinned down.
  10. Beautiful detail work you have put into this project, Adam. That interior looks phenomenal, as with the rest of your work. I’ve been on a Mopar building kick lately. I really enjoy following your progress on this Cuda.
  11. Very nice work...I’ve been looking for one of these to be cast. I need one to tow my Archway Thunderbolt. I have the decals, but no wagon. I need one of these really bad!
  12. This is an interesting build. I rarely see a nice Olds being built from the early 60s. This is looking really nice so far.
  13. I do believe this all falls under Murphy’s Law.
  14. Good question. Word on the street is they should be out within the first few months of 2019. I have two in my stash also. I did build the Dyno Don version when the 65 Cyclone kit first came out. I had to rework the inner fenders, and use a cammer from the parts box. It came out pretty good. I just want to get two of these when they come out. That way I can build two more versions, and have one of each in the stash.
  15. From what another member posted on this forum, said that the headers were a bit tricky. Other than that, I’m sure it wouldn’t be much of a hassle. BTW, where did you get the book? I’d like to check it out.
  16. IThanks for the positive replies everyone, I appreciate it. I spent some time at the bench yesterday and today. Got some things done on the engine. I have the carbs drilled for vacuum lines, painted and installed. Was going to use a MAD distributor, but I wanted a vacuum advance. I dug out an old 66 Fairlane distributor, and cut off the cap, so I can have the advance. Had to drill it out and add a 1/16 piece of rod, as the shaft on the Ford distributor was too short. Then I’ll add the prewired MAD cap to this base. Then I’ll add fuel lines, linkage, a return spring etc. Also finished the wheels, and the front and rear chrome.
  17. It’s already the end of February. Hopefully the Dyno Don kit will hit the shelves real soon.
  18. Exactly. Also as I stated above, “ I’m not sure what infractions he has”, but I’m sure he was most likely warned, more than once, before being banned.
  19. Probably anything opposite of what the forum rules say.
  20. When I was a moderator at another car forum, we had the same problem with a certain individual. He would keep coming back with a different username, but the IP address would always give him away. Its a shame when one must babysit an adult that prefers to be a keyboard warrior. I’m not sure what infractions he has but, he probably isn’t even s bad guy off the forums, but some people just get a little brave when on a forum, and not dealing with people face to face.
  21. Your Charger looks fantastic. The attention to detail really paid off on your build.
  22. Thank you Bill... much appreciated.
  23. Sorry, I searched, but the info that Chris ( Mooneyzs) posted in the drag section is no longer viewable with the photobucket images. Just would like to know if anyone would be kind enough to tell me what .020, .040, .060 in 1/25 scale would be in 1:1 scale? Thanks....
  24. The rims only need a little bit of clean up in the brake vent slots. Painted the front dust caps, and rear hubs. The lugs will be chrome. I’m going to let the weather break before I get into painting the rims themselves.
  25. These rims and tires are beautiful to say the least. The tires have a thin groove that you must paint the redlines in. First apply white into the groove, then when dry apply flat red.
