  1. So, basically, Bigfoot will sound like a really loud Bigfoot power wheels?
  2. Oh Yeah! Im converting Ecto 1A right now but, that's a smooth ride even in mock up!
  3. All those cashiers at Hobby Lobby really care is that one individual doesnt present it to them more than once and you physically have the coupon code...and Michaels just wants to scan it...don't care if you hand it off to someone or just used it in another isle. Works to our advantage
  4. Love the direction of the 1:1. If the model looks anything like the real thing, its gonna be sharp. Your 1:1 reminds me a truck I used to see all the time. http://www.elitestreetsmag.com/magazine/2006/apr-jun/feature6.php
  5. I keep a couple of the 8 OZ juice bottles you can get bundled together at the grocery store washed out and laying around. Seems that, if I have the same issue and I put the parts and degreaser in the bottle with the lid, it works a lot faster. Maybe it traps the fumes or something. I don't know the scientific reason, I just know it works for me.
  6. Harry, sounds like you had a cruddy day. It gets annoying when everyone is out of stock on everything you need. But I'll give ya a couple tips to save ya a little aggrevation. They work tremendously for me. At Hobby Lobby and Michaels, it pays to have a smart phone. If you do have a smart phone, either screenshot their coupon from the Hobby Lobby or Michaels app before leaving home...or swing into a McDonalds and use their WiFi on the way to bring them up before you get there. (Puts it on Ronald McDonald's tab and saves on your data. ) Once you get to Hobby Lobby/Michaels, if you don't have someone with you to take your phone back through the check out, just make your purchase, put your receipt in the bag, and go back for another item to check out in another lane. I do this all the time at several locations...even in different states. I've seen that $6.00 price tag on all Testors paints at some Hobby Lobbys too and I'm not about to even pay it once! Here's a good tip for any Walmart with a tire & lube place. ALWAYS part back there if you are running in for electronics or automotives if the service center is open. That way you don't have to search all day for a parking space or walk fifty miles if they don't have what you want. And btw, I don't believe the associate's story. I have NEVER seen a Walmart without body filler. In fact, I have never seen one without Bondo brand filler. That includes stores in KY, VA, TN, WV, NC, SC, GA, FL, IN, and OH so far.
  7. Odd to see the trunk hinges done like this but, I like it. They are much closer to accurate because they are attached inside the inner trunk structure on many 1:1 cars. Great Work.
  8. Some sweet rides there homie! I love the Aoshima Hi Lux kits. I had two at one point, including the one with the Snugtop. They fell victim to destruction...one my accident and the other not.
  9. Gee oh! What kind of camera was that? It looks like it was taken today! ...Anyway, this build looks sharp. Can't wait to see it under glass.
  10. Ah, much better than I could have done. But if I may suggest, you may want to refine the edges of the tape on the seats before doing any spraying. The car is looking good though.
  11. Very nice work and looks great in the purplicious. Gee, the mini truckers building pro touring Chevy cars are taking over on here.
  12. Cool S truck man. Yeah, I've been to Heritage quite a few times. This is the only forum I do now. Is Lee still running BTR? My truck is currently under the knife so, it may be while before it gets back there. On topic, I think the modern Camaros look great on the build...big fan of those wheels.
  13. Scott, I like the Camaro, and I am a fellow mini trucker. (At least, I take it Noma is for Sonoma and saw the Mini Truckin sticker.) I noticed you got Relaxed in your screen name. Are you in Relaxed Atmosphere?
  14. Nice score for $10! My only actual gripes with this kit are the lack of a set of black stripes and the design of the center bar of the grille.
  15. Welcome back to the hobby as an adult. Have patience and ask lots of questions and you will be fine. I think Gregg did a thread called "Back To Basics" on a 67ish Charger that I would recommend to anyone getting into the hobby. It really helps.
  16. Hello, from the other end of the state! Welcome to the forum!
  17. Alright, we all know what's going on here...that's a fake giant cardboard xacto wrapped in aluminum foil and it's all out on a footbball field marked like a cutting mat. OR, that's just my way of saying that this thing just that realistic looking. You are doing one heck of a job here! I've noticed that there are quite a few interesting trucks in progress or recently finished and I think this one takes the cake.
  18. That's one super clean Silverado! Excellent work. Good call on those wheels too.
  19. I love that idea!
  20. This is looking great. If I may, might I make a suggestion? Since you need some sort of front spring, why not put airbags in there? Also, instead of a panhard bar in the back, step up to a four link and air bags there as well. It would fit really well with your protouring theme here...and you wouldn't really have to undo any of your work for it.
  21. I always say Chevys leak it and Fords drink it. But at least you can easily fix it when you know where it leaks.
  22. Wow! What a flashback! My Grandpa bought me this kit for Christmas when I was like 7 or 8! I wish I still had it, even if not still in the box. Unless, my age was its death, I honestly do not remember what became of it.
  23. Those are Camaro wheels. And don't ever try that set on a real S10 without spacers. I did that when I had a Camaro and an S10 at the same time...didn't work out too well.
  24. As a mini trucker, I have gone to many truck shows on the east coast. And, of coarse, have read Mini Truckin' Magazine for close to twenty years. Almost every single cover truck in recent years lays body or frame and looks really good on the cover. But 99% of them have scuffed and banged up rocker panels in person. Even if they don't drag them, some get damage when laid out on trailers. So, nothing really new to me to see a flaw to a cover vehicle. It's not like they are competing for the Riddler of anything so, it's all good.
  25. Your bed body drop and frame are the way I did my 1:1. It just looks cleaner like that. Great Job!
