  1. You can also run Windows on new Macs if you wish as well.
  2. I just noticed this is a three year old thread.
  3. There is a truthful irony somewhere in that statement. Sadly, they will never find their identities while stealing from one another. I would love to have that if it ever came out. It just screams, "You know I'm gonna outrun you, right?"
  4. If OS is not an issue, then I would definitely say an Apple. Even though I like my iphone, I'm still a Windows person just because I don't feel like relearning to use a one button mouse. If you are just looking for something cheap, portable, and reliable, my two cents is an emachines. I have had two (including this one) and neither have given me an issue...and I use this one at least eight hours a day for working at home. I wouldn't give two cents for an HP laptop. I have had four and they have all four fallen apart at the keys and seems within the first six months. I used to have a Dell laptop for a few years...it was decent aside from having to replace the battery and charging cord.
  5. Hey Rob. I feel ya on the gout. I know what you mean about it striking all in one day. It's really hard to work on anything when it feels like there are a million shards of glass grinding at your wrist bones. Hope the flair up goes away soon for the sake of being pain free and getting back to this one.
  6. I ordered an Aoshima Hi-lux with snugtop from them a few years ago. Aparantly, a lot of companies were having issues keeping stock 0f the kit at that time. They were back-ordered but, kept me informed on the status of my order. Good business people if you ask me.
  7. If you go apocalyptic, we will pretend those lowpros are run flats. It would be a great mobile headquarters for such a build.
  8. Our prayers are with you. I'm sure this is a difficult time for you all. I hope that the rest of your time with her is filled with loving memories of the time you have had an opportunity to spend with her on this earth,
  9. That's why I use my middle name on here...to clear up any confusion on the validity of it. I kind of resemble the famous person with my first and last name so, I don't want to get attached to that stigma on here. As long as no one asks for a personal picture, I'm good...that's when it starts getting creepy. However, who is to say that there aren't people on here that just make up random names so that there is something to comply with the rules? No one really knows. I do know that, if I were not comfortable with giving my name but, I had been given several warnings, I'd probably make one up to go by on here. Well, I wouldn't need it to go that far but, if I were someone else I would, just to get to keep coming here.
  10. Diggin' it all...LOVE the Beetle!
  11. Hmm. Well, gee. The only thing that ain't perfect is that you don't have a matching 1:1...that we know of. Awesome build and mods!
  12. It is nostalgic to see kits in the box stores again. Kmart, Walmart, & Meijer still have them online at the links I provided before on another thread: Kmart http://www.kmart.com...?keyword=revell Walmart http://www.walmart.c...ch_constraint=0 Meijer http://www.meijer.co...?keyword=revell
  13. Merry Christmas everyone! Hope Santa is good to all of you and your families. Santa bought me an M4A3 Sherman tank, a 70 Chevelle, an Audi R8, a Monte Carlo SS, and a 55 Chevy.
  14. Mike, I remember building one of these when it first came out. It really is a great build. It was the mid 90s when i built mine so, I remember dropping mine, doing black with a loud purple interior, a targa top, and a dump style tilt bed. I think I may try building this again now that I am older and wiser. I really wish I knew what happened to the first one.
  15. True. We need answers on the source of that thing. It's just frustrating that no one can get them.
  16. There are enough characteristics that differ from the Ertl Big Farm that I strongly believe that it is different truck (at least versions I have seen). My only point is that someone built it. And whether it is a die cast or a promo, someone had to tool it to get it in the commercial. If the tool already exists, how hard would it be to go ahead and run a few and see how sales go on it? Then, if they are successful, make a larger batch.
  17. That thing came out looking great. I love that you used a pearl look instead of a straight white on it.
  18. I can't imagine why someone would come out with that much detail in a toy if there is no kit. I mean, there has to be a tool for those parts as well. And I cannot imagine why it is so secretive where the truck actually came from. I would think that, with as many people just on here that have emailed GM looking for it, sales would be a guarantee on this thing. And if GM paid to have that made just for them, everything is already in place to produce it. Just keep making them the same way, package the thing, and go.
  19. I just watched closely. I noticed that the Ertl toy has an open roof and a black front end. The one in the video has a solid roof and a speed grile insert on a chrome front end.
  20. Yeah, our luck is that everything but, the truck is provided by them. And for anyone who has not seen it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mrl-mm-7WM8&feature=player_embedded
  21. With the detail I saw in the commercial, I wouldn't care if it were a plastic toy. LOL It would be great to finally see a new truck to build.
  22. I just saw a new Chevy commercial where a little boy is playing with what appears to be a 2011 or 2012 Silverado promo with a boat on a trailer. Anyone know if this is an actual promo that is being put out?
  23. Looking good colormatched with BMF
