  1. I just used a bottle of Testors flat black on mine. There was a little on what was supposed to stay chromed. I just took my fingernail and went across it. The excess rubbed right off.
  2. It really does look like a KITT...err...starter kit. Actually, wasn't there an episode where they rebuilt KITT and he was white when first put back together? Nice job!
  3. Oh yeah! This thing is awesome! And it's refreshing to see one, for a change, that is not orange.
  4. I believe I'd rather buy the woody. For Pete's sake, the thing has two radiator supports!
  5. Scott, I work for a great company called American Support. I work nights Mon-Fri and whatever OT I can get my hands on.
  6. The thought did cross my mind.
  7. I bought a can of Krylon paint the other day and the cashier asked me if I would rather use the 30% off marked on the can or the coupon for 40% on my phone. I was born at night...but, it wasn't last night.
  8. Yeah work sucks...been working a lot myself lately. But the good thing is, I work at home so, I can check the forum while here. On older trucks and projects, I am kind of partial to Krylon Olive green myself...gives it a laid back version of military green.
  9. I badly want this kit. I have Toyota Taillights in my 2004 Cavalier.
  10. Any progress on this one, Scott?
  11. Great start. Id like to see more...even with cruddy cell phone pics. I finished mine with Star Spangled Blue and I believe I like yours a tad better.
  12. Man that looks good. Congrats!
  13. I like this build. It really does capture the spirit of the 1:1s. Funny thing, I never was really a Ford guy but there are a lot of good looking Ford trucks in styrene!
  14. HAHA! Yeah, I figured it would get moved and I didn't want ya to see it gone and think it got deleted or anything. Glad ya cleared up the confusion on the front drop. Keep er going. It's gonna be great when it's done. Update: Well, here it is...under trucks.
  15. Cool! Maybe you could do something like a "Copperhead Road" diarama with this or something.
  16. Not sure what you mean by "-chopped blocks up front" but, good luck. I like the color and I love trucks that drag frame. I will be watching. By the way, someone will probably move this to Pickups OTWB.
  17. So, hopefully forever means a couple days...man I missed it when I quit for a while.
  18. Evilbay really makes me mad sometimes. I've sold quite a few things there but, it gets annoying. Once I sold a cell phone there and the auction included a pic of the phone (turned on) and everything that came with it. The buyer uses it 29 days, then claims the top of the screen was jittery when he got it. Needless to say, despite the proof it worked when sent, and the fact that the buyer had no complaints the first 28 days, they decided to override what I knew as the truth and give them a partial refund. Oh yeah, this on a purchase on which I had already received positive feedback and no personal communications to resolve.
  19. Chuck the slammer really isn't bad for what it is. Granted, the body has been stretched and modded. It is nowhere near stock but, It looks a whole lot closer to it's intended subject matter than the stock kit was. And at least the trim line is straight. I don't know what happened to mine but, here is one I found online. Apparently, this guy didn't like the kit's three point wheels though.
  20. Glad to see you got a tablet that suits your needs. You mentioned you can go up to a 32GB sd card. In case you weren't aware, Android devices are capable of handling the newer 64 GB Sd and micro sd cards as well. However, I dont get why everyone talks about having to use itunes for transferring pics to the pc. I just open the dcim folder on my iphone through "my computer"
  21. I just now hit post > more reply options > attach files > choose file > chose existing > tapped the photo > attach file > add reply
  22. I used to have a set of wheels like your white truck in 17s. I loved those wheels!
  23. Id say its a pain in the rear to "weed" stickers for 1:25 models. I remember weeding "sparkle" stickers in my local sign shop while waiting on car club stickers to cut so I can just imagine. But it would be worth it in a lot of instances. It opens up a lot of possibilities too. The only real issue is that the pricing makes it not so consumer friendly. As stated above, it would limit the number in the hobby that can afford it. However, I would imagine that some more popular racing schemes could be cut and sold by a hobby retailer as a supplement to their current line of products.
  24. Either bed is gonna look awesome on this one
