  1. I agree my girlfriend and I both enjoyed the BJ and the Bear episode and are already planning a road trip to the largest truck stop. But last nights episode was just stupid. It's cool to be excited about something but seriously the guy needs to chill out and not look so stupid. We canceled the DVR for recording new episodes. if I see it on I will watch but it isn't something I will make sure I am available for.
  2. Just looked them up. They ROG and EXPENSIVE for preassembled plastic. But to each their own. Here is a link to the ROG page. http://www.revell.de/index.php?id=880&KGKANR=0&KGKOGP=41&KGSCHL=3&L=1
  3. YES 100%. Also throw in a BMW 2002 and a BMW E30 M3 with detailed engine.
  4. It's a awesome video. Their is a behind the scenes video for that somewhere.
  5. Was that in Japan or Hawaii? From what a friend in Cali told me they are on alert but it is a minor alert they are only projecting a 10-13 foot wave in most areas from what she told me. Granted that was last night and I haven't talked to her today yet.
  6. Thanks, I figured I was dreaming it. That's what happens when you have insomnia and only sleep a couple hours a day. I don't get why they didn't make a full detail version considering all the different E30 M3 kits they made. The 6-series and 5-series of the say years have both curbside version and full detail version but the 3 series 11 different curbside versions and no full detail one.
  7. WOW a downdraft booth. I have never seen a homemade downdraft in the 10 or so years I have been messing around with paint booths. Kind of like the unicorn of the homemade paint booth world. Sadly though don't forget to post a disclaimer in your post before some so called "expert" jumps down your throat.
  8. I am trying to replicate (loosely) the yard wrecker at a local junk yard and I need a a two ton or one ton wrecker. All I can seem to find are expensive kits and the horrendously overpriced (well they are all overpriced) DOH wrecker. Are their any non-snap wreckers that I should look for that will be under the $30 dollar mark? Also considering the recent influx of AMT semi kits and Revell bringing out new semis is there any chance some wreckers might follow? It's been a while since one has been issued. Anyone have any insider info?
  9. Really neat I will be watching.
  10. Here is the only picture taken of me in the last few years. Minus the update to my drivers license.

    Ecto 1a

Cool model. Don't see to many of them built up.
  12. I am just looking for others in my area that build. I am having a hard time being motivated to build and meeting other locals might get me building more.
  13. A few weeks ago while searching on ebay I thought I saw a listing for a full detail Fujimi BMW E30 M3 (detailed engine, opening hood etc) but I cannot find it again or anywhere. Does this kit exist or was I just seeing things?
  14. I would rather get a R2 reissue with some minor flaws in it than a Revell kit that is 3x's the price.
  15. Looks great. Is the bed a decal or did you weather it?
  16. I don't know of any at all. I didn't even know plastic's were made that big.
  17. I have not seen or heard of any specifically for the Midget racer yet.
  18. We used get that complaint all the time at the hobby shop I worked at. The do seem a bit large but I cannot say first hand as I have stayed away from them.
  19. That car is amazing. The colors are just wow.
  20. I heard about it. It's suposed to be a good show for being in such a small town. Probably the smallest town to have a IPMS club. A bit to far for me to go myself. Depending on which way you were going you would drive right past me though, wink wink. lol.
  21. Libraries are a good place to look usually all they require is one person having a library card. Then you can use a room for free. Senior and community centers usually also have free rooms so long as one person in attendance lives in the city where you are meeting. Both of the IPMS clubs in St. Louis meet at libraries.
  22. Source Interlink is just keeping the site alive for people to get the articles and for the massive amount of adverts.
  23. The problem with embossing powder is it looks like spray on bed liner. I have seen felt used going way back to the 60's but as has been said it doesn't look realistic to scale unless you trim it down. Which takes time but once you do it felt can look really good.
