  1. Your graphics are really cool, Wayne. Great progress so far!
  2. To confirm what was said above, my stock body Fairmont is on hold for the time being.
  3. Fantastic start, Clay. I'm looking forward to seeing what you have in store for us...
  4. Couldn't have put it better...
  5. I love the stance from your 8/29/14 entry. The lower the better!
  6. Great to see you back Rickard. Hope things are going well with you!
  7. Rusty, you have absolutely nothing to apologize about. I think you're doing an excellent job so far. I will look forward to seeing future updates...
  8. This is going to be a sweet build, Brian. Can't wait to see your next update.
  9. You're welcome to take a look at my website, www.futurattraction.com I currently have two sizes of tires available in rubber. Both fit 1/25th wheels, but are also stretchable enough to fit 1/24th. I will be coming out with a true 1/24th scale FC/TF style of slick pretty soon.
  10. The paint on your Cuda looks fantastic!
  11. Michael - I'm not saying this is the right way, or even a good way of doing a removable front end, but I think it has some merit. I drilled through the front fender and down into the top of small tabs that I added to the outermost part of the firewall on my Fairmont. I then added pins in the fender skins, themselves, so that everything is hidden below the surface. I also pinned the rocker panels and lower trailing/lower fenders to help keep everything in alignment. I did this before cutting anything apart - the thought being that if everything lines up before cutting, it should after cutting. If you take a look at this link, I think you can see what I'm talking about. I will add Dzus buttons in the appropriate places, when the time comes. I hope this helps.
  12. It's looking good, so far, Michael. I'll be watching!
  13. Your engine/chassis is a thing of beauty - truly a piece of modeling art, Chris. It has been a long time getting to this point, my friend, but it has been worth the wait.
  14. Wow! This is beyond words, Tim. Can't wait to see your next update.... Next time I'll be prepared with my bib to catch the drool.
  15. Thanks a bunch, guys. I appreciate the link to BNA and it looks like Scale Finishes has some really nice looking rivets I hadn't been aware of.
  16. Thanks Ben. Yeah, I have had Robert do some custom stuff for me, too. I finally found what it was that I had had floating around in my head. It is from T2M, though it doesn't seem to be available anymore, at least not that I've been able to track down.
  17. Thanks for the suggestions, guys. They're all good ideas...
  18. Thanks Mike. Robert has great products...
  19. It is a combination bolt/stud with integral nut. They would replicate something like a head stud or wheel stud with nut attached. I don't recall the diameter of the stud, but am hoping they would be somewhere in the .020-.030" diameter range. As I recall, they are machined out of metal. I don't recall the vendor. If this description sounds familiar to anyone and any leads can be offered, I'd appreciate it. Scott PS: I should add I have done some searching online and looked at the Hobby Design rivets and a couple others, but haven't had any success so far. I'm hoping it wasn't Scale Hardware that I recall seeing these posted on, but it's certainly possible. I may be behind the times, but I just googled Scale Hardware and the site is back up under new ownership/management. Cool! I am still interested to see if anyone knows of any alternative sources, because the ones shown on the Scale Hardware site don't look like what I recall seeing.
  20. Michael - I am planning to come out with some machined aluminum wheels within the next few weeks. I will have the AlumaStar fronts at that point. They will fit the R-M-based tires and, of course, the frontrunner tires I sell. I am planning to introduce three front wheel designs and four rear wheels. The rears will be 1/24th scale. They will be CNC'd rims with photo-etched aluminum centers. The fronts will all be spindle-mount design/appearance. The rims are slated to be in production in the next 2-3 weeks and I'm finishing drawing the centers then they will be submitted for tooling and production. The front choices are going to be Weld Magnum 2.0, Weld AlumaStar 2.0 and Billet Specialties Comp 5. The rears will be Magnum 2.0, AlumaStar 2.0, Weld V-Series, and BS Comp 5. Scott
  21. Cool project, Kerry. Thanks for touching base yesterday. Hopefully some of those parts can be of benefit...
  22. Been a while since I've really been on the forum. Lots has happened on your build since I last checked in. That is one whale of a job, Tim. I really think you should leave everything unpainted when you're finished with this gem. Amazing skills, my friend...
  23. Cool project, Ron! Will be fun to see it take shape. Dave - those are some cool looking pieces you made to replicate the Boss and C-460 heads.
  24. Very sharp build... Super clean job!
  25. That looks fantastic Paul! Keep up the stellar work!
