  3. Wow,,been doing some commission builds this month for some folks at roush,,but had time to finish the 1/16 AMT 57' Belair,,it turned out ok,,but there was alot of "fine tuning" and other stuff to get it here. I wont bore us with all of what I had to do,,but it took alot longer than it should have. The color is Tamiya pearl green,,which turns out to be a GM color from back then,,custom mixed paint for the 2 tone interior,,and of course added some x-tras in the engine bay. All in all,,it was a cool kit to do. And worth the purchase price. Keep those plastic creations moving forward! Cheers,,,,S
  4. Neat builds,,now Im off to taco bell and its all your fault. lol nice trike
  5. thanks much,,sorry bout late reply,, after finishing this kit,,I jumped right into the large 1/16th 57' Chevy AMT released,,and when I get goin on a kit,,I dont use internet much,,just for reference pics mostly. Thanks for the comments,,you all build great stuff also! One of the best things about this site is all the great builds that inspire!!! Build On !!
  6. Happy 2021 all,,glad to see 2020 in my rearview mirror. recently finished this AMT 1/16th kit,,added a few x-tras over the holidays. Used testors quikdry blue,,hand painted the rest. As always the large AMT kits go together well,,for the most part,,and look pretty good when done. Wishing you all the best for 2021. S
  7. I think what I should really do is go to my local costume shop,,get the rubber godzilla suit,,put it on ,,and go shopping at walmart and see if anybody notices
  8. the guy is awsome,, I watch his YT stuff whenever I get a chance
  9. ya know I was watching a Rodan vrs Godzilla movie today,{strictly for educational purposes only} and its amazing all the modelset work in those movies,,no CGI at all,,buildings,,cars,,city sets,,oceans..mountians,,operating military vehicles. I think about all the building and work that went into all that,,very impressive.
  10. lol,,I often wonder the same thing,,yes I play/write/perform live ,,do co-writes for screenwriters,,opened for national acts,,play T-40 classic rock in clubs in SE mich...check it out: Im the guy in the blue shirt https://fandalism.com/10kdb/e029

  13. looks great,,I may have to get this one
  14. Thanks guys,,Ive seen some other builds of this out there and I dont know how they did all the paint /decal work like the 1;1 truck,,I did notice that there were really small raised "guidelines" on the body to paint inside of to help with the paint scheme,,but it would have been quite an undertaking for my skill level,,maybe next time,,build on!
  15. Thanks 340,,it was a flashblob,,but after I cleaned up everything it came out ok,,cheers!
  16. Very nice,,I thought it may have been a Vincent at 1st look,,but not so. Nice bike
  17. Great build,,that would make a cool flattrack bike
  18. My,,what a time trip back for this one. Always enjoy the big scale bike kits,,and was glad to see this one repopped. I changed the paint scheme a bit,,added some x-tra wiring,,changed the footpegs to some Harley gear. Hope the kit mfg's keep up the big scale bike kits. Wonder if this was ever a 1:1 bike on the show circuits?
  19. I enjoy building jets,,planes and auto/trucks kindof breaks the pace a bit,,and many of the jets/planes are easier to build,,IMO
