  1. Looking good Rob, keep taking the tablets, hope you get well soon.
  2. hi this is ross, thank you for the comments! im definatly hooked, i might do a sports car. im sure ill try to keep you updated.
  3. There is only one, thats how they were built originally. Nice job on the build Matt, looks really good.
  4. My nephew Ross has just finished this pre-painted NASCAR kit, his first ever build. He really enjoyed himself and now wants to build more. Let's hope he's hooked .
  5. Very nice builds
  6. Thanks Jonathan. I wanted to finish the Jag before the holidays and here it is: No shots of the engine bay are possible, I wasn't happy with the fit of the tilting hood so resorted to gluing it shut . At least there are some engine photos during the build up! I just wanted to get it finished, even though the fit of the windscreen is pretty poor in the frame, and the frame doesn't sit well on the scuttle. Also, the headlight lenses are too thick and and .....at least it looks good in the photos, but not my best build in recent times. Onwards and upwards, the Merc should be a much better prospect
  7. Thanks Jonathan, I can't wait either Neither can I resist trying to see what the final product will look like, so I set this up: There is still a difference between the decals and the paint on the hood, so more semi-gloss is called for. That will have to wait until I return from holiday.
  8. Wow that's a lot of work Patrik but it's looking good. Are you going to turn the headers upside-down? I think they go up and over in both the Audi & Merc DTM kits. It was easier to fit the engine and transaxle to my Merc but this is a quick build 'cos I have lots on the go at the moment. As you can see, I started doing the decals, got some on the bonnet (hood) too, will post photos after they have dried and been painted with a thin coat of semi-gloss clear.

  10. Wow!! That is one fine build, love the paint
  11. Great builds Tonio, lots of thumbs up!
  12. Looking good Michael
  13. Weather has improved this week so got some gloss on the B400, Tamiya Dark Blue Metallic. The roof fabric is now Corsa Grey, which is more blue to my eyes The masking pulled up quite a bit of the original Light Blue Pearl so tried the flat colour instead - guess I didn't clean the resin body sufficiently -oops! A small speck came off tonight, but this can be touched up (I hope)
  14. Finished the Merc DTM wheels tonight with some dullcote to tone down the tyre decals which are too glossy. Still a little shiny but I don't want to overdo it Also started applying decals to the body - this will take a couple of evenings I reckon
  15. Looking good Ron, that's a healthy channel job
  16. At the speed you build Jonathan I hope you have several tons I have quite a few foreign cars too, so I'll keep you company
  17. Some great builds there - well done
  18. Thanks Jonathan - looking forward to your next build(s) and the others too. I fly out on Friday so don't expect much progress on my builds but I would like to see the Jag finished. Rainy day yesterday so had a good time on the Merc engine/chassis. It fell together, just like the Audi, but the decals for the valve covers are too short . Hope the other 70-odd decals are ok . Yes, I know I didn't remove the Revell trademark etc, it's all hidden anyway, plus I forgot and just wanted to build yesterday Got the wheels/brakes painted & decaled tonight, dullcote on the wheels to tone down the chrome. Will apply decals to tyres and then dullcote these too.
  19. Thanks everyone As you can see, I'm a fully paid up member of Jim's shiny club
  20. Congratulations
  21. Got the E-type almost completed, just the thorny task of fitting the tilting front end and a few minor jobs to finish. Weather here is awful at the moment, but got some primer on the DTM Mercedes and will start building that before I jet off to Canada for the holidays.
  22. I can only echo what everybody else has said - these are so creative. Many thanks for the eye-candy, the how-to's and your boundless enthusiasm for this hobby which keeps us lesser mortals inspired.
  23. My fave is the Mustang convertible, but they are all terrific!
  24. Simply breathtaking! Showing all these in one thread should carry a health warning
  25. Beautiful work Roger
