Thanks for posting the teaser Luke, that looks awesome -
How focused are your scale modeling interests?

No 3 for me too. Mainly street rods/customs/50s-60s/drag but also European (I'm British), supercars and modern racecars such as DTM/GT -

Excellent paint job Luke - this is going to be awesome -
This is my 9th build of this Revell kit, thought I would try something completely different, so off came the roof . The base kit is the Fairlane so I was able to use the non-teardrop hood and different air filters on top of the kit supplied 427. The interior was modified using the seats from the '64 1/2 Mustang convertible, the boot and centre console came from the same source. Wheels/tyres are a Fujimi set, the paint is rattle can auto paint. Thanks for looking!

Got this one finished tonight. Wheels/tyres are a Fujimi wire wheel set, I added some photetch door handles to the interior, but the rest is OOB. Posted to "under glass"

Lets do a 1964 1/2-1973 Mustang CBP to go with the others!

Cars looking good everyone. Jonathan, after you have taped up the stripes, apply a light blast of clear to seal the edges - any bleed through won't show -

Some great work going on here while I've been at work, plus some mishaps too (sorry about those Jim & Rob) - ain't modelling wonderful? Rob, your Ferrari pops way more than my 'Cuda, hope it's still looking as good. Shane, I just used Tamiya Blue Clear enamel out of the bottle, which not only replicates the real car, but solves the thorny problem of what to do with those pesky chrome plated lights. -

Sorry to hear that Luke, that '62 is a style I like to build too - look forward to seeing it later . Ironically, we had one of our best weekends of the summer and I spent most of it model building B) . I am glad this CB took place, otherwise this replica may have sat for another year. Many thanks to those that organised it. Anyways, here is the S&M car duly finished by late Sunday. -

If there's no interior I would be tempted to paint it black -

This is the first decent weekend weatherwise for a while and I'm stuck here modelling. Got to get the priorities right Unlucky Luke, I can empathise with that -

That's beautiful Virgil, another masterpiece on the way - is that a hint of the interior in your shots? -

You guys must be so busy building you haven't got time to post any updates LOL Added the thin white stripe decals this morning, now onto painting & building the chassis/interior. -

I probably spent too much time plumbing and wiring the engine, especially with there being two distributors, but I still hope to complete tomorrow -

Taking a break from decals after completing the driver's side. Still need to apply the narrow white stripes near the edges of the blue stripes - these are on the Slixx decal sheet. Turning now to the engine, which will only be partly detailed. I discovered last night that the block has holes in it for the 'front axle' and too late to change motors at this late stage. Onwards and upwards! -

That's gonna be cool Luke I'm a couple of hours ahead of you but have had interruptions this morning. Got everything primed, painted the blue stripe on the hood/scoop, then realised it would have to be extended to the grill. More masking of the body, but got it done OK. Quick light sanding and a polish before applying BMF around windows, followed by decals, only one side done so far! -
Hi Danny and welcome to the thread. That looks like a superb subject and I'm sure we will all be watching closely Nice work so far, it's gonna look great when finished!

Wow - awesome result.

Sorry, I meant RnB -
Hi Jonathan, thanks for that, must dig out my SLS AMG soon!
-
Thanks guys. I had already decided to go with the kit's 427 (thanks anyway Rob), plus I forgot to remove the fender emblems before painting I have yet another T'bolt planned, and yes this will include a modern motor (I have a Super Stallion one somewhere).

I sincerely hope you will let me join in at this late stage - I know Rob enjoyed the last one I have a build that stalled more than a year ago, a Sox & Martin 'Cuda that had a major stuff up on one side - the red partly lifted with the masking tape I have just re-applied the red so the kit has moved back to the top of the build pile. I think this CBP has inspired me to complete it A couple of points, it's not a three day weekend here in NZ (that was last weekend ) and of course timewise we are ahead of you. Permission to start my build tomorrow (Friday) night? Here's where the S&M stands at the moment, body painted but stripe yet to be applied to hood. Still needs work, and no prep has been carried out on any other parts (if I can find them!!)
