I'm a little late to the party here, but WOW! I think the expression and posture of the gentleman is priceless. Every possible detail is presented here. The only flaw I see is the presence of an attractive woman in stilettos... you know, IN a modeling room ?.

The 2022 Cannonball Run Year of Birth Build Thread
Lunajammer replied to disconovaman's topic in Community Builds
Heck if all the other lemmings are jumping I guess I am in. ‘61 Ranchero. Birthday last week so the ‘62 lineup was probably hitting the stores, but the Ranchero should be painless. -
73 RICHARD CHILDRESS LAGUNA
Lunajammer replied to gks1964's topic in WIP: Stock Cars (NASCAR, Super Stock, Late Model, etc.)
Looks like pretty clean castings. Well done sir. But I cringe to see them piled into that box. I ruined a whole run of '61 Dodge Phoenixs that way. Warped beyond repair, even though they have no meaningful weight to them. I'm even unwarping a body that was safely (but unevenly) wrapped in paper towel for too long. Only hard flat surfaces for me from now on. -

I like the Chevelle. Feels more like a "get -the-job-done" meat and potatoes car.

1940 Ford Moonshine Operation 'Moonshine Number Two'
Lunajammer replied to SawgrassRaven's topic in Dioramas
Just saw this... simply outstanding. Possibly one of the best I've ever seen for detail, realism, composition, etc. It feels a bit tight to me, but I wouldn't even make that minor comment if I didn't feel this was of the highest caliber. I wouldn't worry that the soft light hides detail, it compliments the tone. Wonderful. -

Bump. Voting is still open, all forum members are welcome. -
Just a reminder that if anyone finds a way to vote twice, any votes beyond one will be subtracted. I have X-ray vision ?.

Such a bummer Bruce, I was so looking forward to this one. Please be sure to show us when completion happens.

This is such a handsome car Nigel. As 80's cars go, I've always appreciated this body. Good color and all the parts you've sourced for this have come together seemlessly. This would have been great for the 2015 "Sleeperball" (which this is sort of like).

2022 Cannonball Group Build theme suggestion thread
Lunajammer replied to Fat Brian's topic in Community Builds
No interest in any of these '70's? Most are still reasonably affordable and the BRE 240Z Datsun, if I'm not mistaken, was used '70 to '72 and the '71 Thunderbird was little changed, if at all from '70. -
Rules show midnight of December 1st so you have all day of the 1st.

That's one tough lookin' GP. I think you got the right wheel choice. Interior fits good and I love that you ran an exhaust system. Great hustle to the deadline.

Peter, I was just looking at your pics on the finished builds thread. I'm glad you didn't tint the windows. That's a lot of greenhouse, it would be a shame to not take advantage of showing off your interior detail. ?

2022 Cannonball Group Build theme suggestion thread
Lunajammer replied to Fat Brian's topic in Community Builds
The PT Cruiser was literally unchanged from 2000 through 2005, which the Revell kits represent. 2006 to 2010 the only changes were under the front bumper and interior details. With some work, these snappers can be a formidable stealth Cannonballer. In 2015 I massaged an Audi R8 chassis with rear engine drive under mine.
