  1. Wish those guys were still around to continue the dialog. Jairus, were you ever able to follow up with Revell?
  2. For the record, this is still one of my favorites. It tickles me.
  3. Definitely some great stuff going on there. Wish I could master weathering like that and the shed shot is superb. The melted plastic is always a tough one though.
  4. Ira, you should collect all your wackiness in a book. You produce so much imaginative and well executed stuff. I'd like to see it all in one place, like an Ira Dahm museum or something.
  5. The Audi came today so I guess this is my official entry. I reserve the right to get in over my head and dump it in favor of something more elementary.
  6. Pretty slick. Nice work. If you want to pursue fuller coverage of your work in print, take a serious look at the article and photo submission guidelines in this forum. The same principles will apply to most other mags. The more you can do to make an editor's job easy, the better your chances of being published.
  7. Dave, no advice here, but I have to say your most impressive skills on the figure have already proven you'll be a spectacular car modeler.
  8. Come join Fred, but you better hurry. You've only got 328 days left.
  9. If I was mad at Harry for something, this is the thread I'd bring back.
  10. I wouldn't have believed it. I'm impressed. Still risky, but this might be my favorite so far.
  11. I considered a Geo Storm promo for about 10-seconds because I've got a couple and they're cheap as farts but knew I wouldn't get excited about it. A Johan 59 Rambler Wagon can be found at a fair price if you're patient.
  12. Just had to bring this thread back. Too cool for school!
  13. Please, you're undermining all my ideas! Aren't wagons wonderful?
  14. MINE TOO. An excellent reference. This was not my first choice, but over the holiday I picked up a Welly R8 Diecast on closeout and made some comparisons, then went online to research the 1:1's. There is only a 1.25-inch wheelbase difference between them and lots of room in the back to fit the mid-engine V-10. AWD bruthas!
  15. Hello boys! (Details to follow)
  16. I have 500-lbs. of National Geographics dating to 1948 that are taking up a big chunk of space. My friend got 100 years of issues, all the maps and special extra features on DVD. Is the value of grabbing a paper issue to thumb through worth the burden? Can't decide.
  17. I like Testosterosa better.
  18. That's a lot of work. Not just the scratch building but even opening all the hinges. Beautiful work.
  19. Its multi-functionality is the beauty of it. Wonder if that ever came up on Shark Tank?
  20. I'd just use clear acetate (plastic). The Smart has a fairly flat windshield so making new glass won't be too challenging. Just use some masking tape as a template, trace, trim and drop in. It will even look better than kit plastic.
  21. Good stuff Niko. My favorite's the '62.
  22. I have a collection of T-Bird wagon photos for reference because I love that look and yours is as good as I've seen. Splendid blending of the Mustang elements. I really like this.
  23. This is sooooo slick. Superb craftsmanship in every detail.
