  1. Always do. Lots of stuff to peruse.
  2. Good to know. I'll be down there this weekend. Hitrting the Little Canada shop, and Scale Model Supply. The girls are doing the MOA.
  3. I think I dated the gal in Pic no. 5. :D Fantastic work.
  4. Thanks Tony still has along way to go.
  5. Yeah I know it's not a XKE I have one but can't locate it at the moment. Used that one just for pic purposes.Wanted to get a feel for what it will look like. The Corvette is also from Monogram Mini X -acts series. If I can't find my XKE I will be in Mpls. next weekend, and do some scouting, also we have a big train show at the end of the month. Hopefully something will turn up.
  6. Been awhile since I touched this one. Got the streets in today. In the background is Mr. Roger's part 2
  7. Got the roadway done. Now have to add some color, and landscaping.
  8. Just about got it done. Few little things to add to it. Here's shot with the base I made for it.
  9. Haven't heard from Howard for awhile. E-M'ed Shannon she's doing well.
  10. Getting ready for a day at the bench.
  11. Good news is today it's all gone. Made my run, and not a flake in sight. However 100 miles north of here they got 14 inches. Trees, and power lines down. Personally I'd rather have the cold, than snow. Cold you can dress for. I used to deliver oil up on the U.P. of Mich. try pulling a 2 wheel cart loaded with cases of oil through a snow drift. Not fun.
  12. Transport Semi-driver for Pepsi Bottling. 18 years now, and counting. Deliver to the warehouses. So far just logged 4 million miles in my career, since 1970.
  13. Yeah Monday it was 80, today 34.
  14. Today were getting our first snow of the season. Not much for accumulation here, but the winds are 35-45 MPH. Makes it hard to stay on the road with a semi. So am going to get in some bench time today, while waiting for the wind to subside. 400 mile round trip in those winds are no fun.
  15. And scale. Fat fingers. :D
  16. Just to say thanks with the info you sent. Will help me out a bunch. This is a special build, and I wanted to get it right.
  17. Bill I have seen your builds, and must say they are great. I could only hope to do as well as you have. That also goes to a lot of the other builders here on this board. Me I build for me, and not to impress anyone. If I think a kit is really bad, I'll do something different with it to hide as manyn flaws as I can. now I'm into HO sclae and focus primarily on diorama building. I still have abunch to learn here, but maistakes are easier to hide, or work into the original design. Ditto about all of the possibilities of getting it right the first time. I remember when the kit companies would bring the car in to the studio, and measure every little thing to get it right.
  18. Great job there Grandpa. I still remember the first car I built AMT 36 ford. Alas it is long gone now. But it was fun.
  19. I remember the old AMT kits had a picture on the side of the box showing parts that were in it.
  20. Went back after being out of HS for 7 yr's. Lasted 2 days.
  21. Heck I'd even buy one. That was one of the first kits I built way back when.
  22. Purple Suede with a white interior.
  23. If mine turns out half as good as yours, I'll be happy.
  24. This is the pic from Life magazine dated April 29 1957. I was 4 yr's. old then. The cover shot. Article has to do with drag racing, and the car culture.
