  1. The engine is just about finished. Trans next.
  2. Thank you nazdrave , your too kind. Your paint is great. Well I painted the wheels black then sanded them with 600 grit then 800 . Next 2000 grit then polish which I have not done yet. The windshield frame is going to be a very big challenge. I sanded it with 600 grit then 800 grit. Like the wheels I will next sand it with 2000 grit then polish I hope. It is very very fragile! The other hard part is drilling the holes for the side window vents. This will take a very long time. Yes I’m worried a little. Also thank you for the advice on the chassis. Any information on a model factory hiro kit is greatly appreciated. Please post your build, These are hard kits and any ideas or techniques are welcomed. I really like this kit and love to build it. Always learning on these kits. This is also my second mfh kit. Here is a pic of my first. Thank you for the great comments. P. S. I also have a pic for the primer.
  3. Thank you Mattilacken
  4. Beautiful!!!!
  5. Starting to come around. Another mock up. Have to keep fitting all the time,
  6. Well decided to wire it up tonight. Here it is. Better the second time. The first wire job was bad.
  7. Going to use the magneto . Letting the wire holders and spark plugs dry tonight. Will continue wiring tomorrow. Cutting the spark plug boots tonight. These are not included in the kit. I forgot where the magneto came from. In my parts box.
  8. Great job!!!! MFH kits are very hard to tame. But looks like your taming the kit very well. Can’t wait to see more.
  9. Looking great Chris! Tubes ahhhh...?
  10. Great picture! Thank you for sharing
  11. Love it!
  12. WOW!!! Beautiful build. Thanks for the info on the build.
  13. Let’s see, just worked on a 1/12 mfh 427 that goes into a cobra. This is it so far.
  14. Hello Chris, well I’m going to use the mag. The distributer they give you needs special attention on the spark plug boots. They just do not look right to me. So the mag is a better choice. I’m going to put spark plugs in and then wire it. I sent you pics of the first try and it just did not look right so it all came out. Repainted the red on the mag . Next rewire it.
  15. Thank you Dragonhawk1066. Here is some more of the engine.
  16. A little more on the engine. Thank you espo and Thank You MrObsessive. The carb is just sitting on the manifold. Cutting and making the lines for the carb linkage and fuel lines. The pulleys and brackets are cool. It’s hard to see but I scribed timing marks on the damper. The carb is a vacuum secondary. The distributer does not have a vacuum advanced plumbing. Was going to make it on the distributer but decided not to. It’s a street car. I’m surprised the kit does not come with a mechanical secondary Holley for the race version. Probably thought no one would notice. Just crazy people like me.
  17. Great job sir!!! Looking really nice. The door jams look great. I could not leave that one alone either. Had to paint them. I know these kits are not perfect but they are very nice. I guess if you wanted to go crazy you could. But I like them just the way they are. Just a little bit more like the door jams, etc and you have a really nice build. Fantastic job !!! I’m following along with great interest.
  18. Well not a lot done. Glued the trans and rear diff center section together. Filled the line down the center. Painted them testors silver. Fit water pump. Put the valve cover screws in. More drilling of parts. Trans needs to be drilled for the linkage. You really have to study the instructions. You need to know a little about fuel setups ( holleys). And electrical on FE engines. The mfh instructions are wrong on the Holley. Also they have you hook up the mechanical fuel pump and the electrical fuel pump. It’s One or the other. And the distributor wiring is correct but the kit has no coil. The coil wire goes nowhere. Just little things so you need to really pay attention. Yes for the price it should come with a coil and the directions should be a little more accurate. My friend Mark buys a lot of these kits. He is doing a kit now that has no color choices on the instructions. He called the company and their response was, you need to do the research. Which is true but for the price they should have some sort of color for the parts. But this is model factory hiro. Definitely not your average model kit company.
  19. I would buy a bunch.
  20. I have no idea what type of motorcycle this is but it very great build. My friend Mark has a friend in the land down under that built this. This is his second model he has ever built! Holy Cow! Anyway here it is.
  21. That is soooo cool. A friend gave this to me. He said his dad built model cars in the 50’s
