  1. Man I really love that car!!!!! I made the mistake of letting my wife drive it. It was hers after that. Just a beautiful automobile. True sports car. Perry does someone make a 1/25-1/24 model? I sure would love to build it.
  2. Thank you beeRS. I tried that but realized it was getting hard to work with. So I decided to cut the opening which was a little nerve racking because of the paint job. I would suggest to fit these before painting. But it worked out.
  3. Thank you gbtr6. By the way I had a TR6 and loved that car. When I retire I’m planning to buy another one. The logos on the car are decals from the kit. The only pe emblem is the Nickey on the trunk lid. I used a wash on it to bring out the letters. The kit decals are really great. I love the decal on the shifter knob, a 4 speed pattern like the hurst shifters of the day.
  4. Thank you Dave72
  5. I solder white metal parts. Stronger than glue. But when I need glue I use jb weld ca with an activator.
  6. Prepping the wheels. Their are over 20 parts per wheel. Not including the tires or brakes. Washed the resin parts, sanded and washed again. Polished the white metal parts to get rid of the mold release on the parts. Drilled the white metal wheels. Over 40 holes. Prime with acid etch primer then if they look good, paint time. More work on these wheels than my whole 1/25 camaro. But worth it.
  7. NNL West this comming Saturday.
  8. Thank you carrucha.
  9. Thank you Ace-Garageguy. I guess it’s like a great big model, but it has to work, and look good. The work part is hard. The shake down is a pain. You have things you did not expect. Like I just fired her up again today and there is a leak in the power steering hose. These are the things you just have to do. Part of the build.
  10. Thank you bluestringer, here is a pic of the kit.
  11. Thank you kelson, the louvers just did not look right. Had to correct it.
  12. Thank you and it’s a monster. For me the wiring was the hardest. But it runs. A lot of horses, too much for me but the boss/ owner, loves it.
  13. This is an interesting forum. I’m 66 and still doing bodywork on car and trucks. Still healthy but getting a little tired. Started in 1969. Fast forward to today, we have ( a dealership)been looking for a qualified tech for over a year with advertisements all over Calif and Nevada. Only a handful responded and out of those only two were in the running. But by the time we responded they had jobs somewhere else. I have been trying to retire for a year now but I get sucked back into the trade. I owe a lot to the owner, who helped me over the years, so I help him by staying around till he finds someone. Hopefully he finds someone as I’m going to retire very soon. But in a way it’s been nice when someone does not want to kick you out the door because of your age. Here is our project, an old blazer but all new parts and it takes a little skill to do it. We put new floors and quarter panels on the blazer. Put in all the parts, engine trans etc. made her run Something the kids can’t do,
