I'll post my other two options. The first one is a six carb set up. The intake doesn't fit the block very well. I could get it to work out with a little finessing but I'm not too fond of this set up. This second option hit me right after posting the scooped version in the above post. I'm liking this one the more I look at it and would work great for the street. I don't have many street rods in the display cabinet so I'd really like to keep this one roadworthy.

Well, after searching through all of my stash, I couldn't find a suitable streetable engine intake that I liked so I may just switch this to a vintage drag vehicle. Still not sure but this looks good to me.

I would also like to be in on that tubing bender discussion. I feel a brass chassis in my near future. -

OK, Chris. I happen to know you got some great inspiration over the long weekend on your out-of-town trip. Are you back yet? -
That is nuthin' short of pure gorgeousness. Glad to see some paint on a few of the components and I'm really looking forward to the assembly process. Don't forget to add some gaskets and sealer. We wouldn't want this thing to leak.

I kind of like those ball o snakes headers on there as the curviness of them contrast with all of the straight lines on the rest of the build.

A couple more progress pics. One of the trailer hooked up, one of the finished engine bay and one of the front blinker. For the chrome, I used a Molotow chrome pens and the orange is a kit decal. The Suburban hooked up to the trailer almost is the width of my working space. the creeper came out so nice that I didn't want to hide it in the interior. I still need to add the radiator hoses and figure out what I want to do with the spare tire hanger. Sorry for the poor quality cell phone pictures. More pictures tomorrow.

Thanks for the update Tim. Although you say you haven't had much bench time lately, it sure looks like you're making good use of what you had. I know painting those spoons took a good amount of time. This will hold me over for a bit too.

OK Tim. It almost been a month since this thread had an update. Certainly something more has been done to this awesome build of yours.

Wow...just Wow!! -
While updating the photos for this thread, I realized there are a few things to redo. Mainly the rear tires need replacing. I sanded them down with too rough of a sandpaper and none of the four sets of decals would stick. This needs to get fixed. There are a few other things I like to update as well. I'll get these done eventually. Stay tuned. I'm not quite done.

A stellar month I would say. How are you going to back that up this month?

That is a really sweet Vette. Nicely done. I find it a challenge to get great photos of a black car.

A couple of beauties right there. I agree, more photos please.

Thanks David. I have a creeper from the Fujimi tool set but knew I could make a better one with actual wood. As for the trailer, I picked it up at a swap meet so I don't know where it originated. It was broken and without any axles. To get it the ride height I wanted, I had to drill through the frame. I decided to add some leaf spring shaped pieces of evergreen plus three spring ends for each side. Here's a picture to help illustrate.

You may have lost your mojo for plastic but you're kicking butt in the digital arena. Will these be available through Shapeways? -
Johnny - this thing is stellar. I love every little detail and every one of them has your unique touch. Aside from this being so completely insane, I am just as blown away by the speed at which you build. You must not sleep at all. Get a nap in and then what are you going to knock our socks off with next?
