  1. Thanks so much Craig. I contacted a local small printer and asked the owner about purchasing some used printing plates. He offered them for free once I showed him some pictures of what I use them for. I still paid him enough to buy a 6 pack.
  2. You should have contacted him. He moved and his business is expanding.
  3. I'm looking forward to seeing your place.
  4. That's my plan. Not sure I'll be bringing anything to work on though. I'm even going to try and bring the other Greg.
  5. I know. For this and the Carney Wagon.
  6. Sheeeeesh...what sheer lunacy Tim.
  7. Thx Joe. Glad you enjoyed it and let me know how your front end works out. On my '25 Chopped Ford street rod, I modified how I did the turn buckle by using brass and soldering them. Much stronger.
  8. Another Teresi masterpiece. I can't even fathom the awesomeness of this build. Each one of your builds is better than the last and I would never think that's possible.
  9. Was able to get the shelf installed last night. It tough to show it in place because its dark in there. Here's a couple of pics.
  10. OK...Tim. You need to state a disclaimer before showing your progress photos. I thought I was going to need to call the paramedics. Warn a guy will ya?? That fuel pump has more detail than a full size one. I know what I'll be using for reference when I go to simulate a real one. Kudos.
  11. Thanks Ray. I'm still working on the fisherman's vest.
  12. I never considered the interior quite done because I wanted to add a shelf to the front portion of the sleeping area. I put the shelf together last night with a few assorted items on it. Think I may add some hooks underneath, not sure yet. Here's a progress pic. More to follow.
  13. When I open this amazing thread and look at the new progress pictures, I just nod my head back and forth with my mouth agape as I stare in amazement. Then I go back through the photos another time studying every detail. Tim - you are a true craftsman in every sense of the word. I've always enjoyed working with metal but you take this so much further than just working with metal. You set the bar beyond reach of us mere mortals. You are a true metal mastersmith craftsman. We're not worthy.
  14. Thanks Tim. I've been thinking of silver with rivets and a WWII plane theme.
  15. My oh my. That part sure looks the part. Very inventive way of getting the ribs. Goes in my notebook. Thanks Tim.
  16. Another few items done. I fabricated an alternator bracket out of printing plate and got the alternator on. Will use some black wire for the belt. Also got all of the pulleys in place. In looking at the pictures, I see there's a plug wire off. Here's a couple pictures.
  17. Outstanding brother. That's all I got.
  18. I wish the photos were showing because I always enjoy your work. Please update the links Ellen.
  19. Impressive so say the least.
  20. Thanks Chris. Very helpful to have them on Flickr.
  21. Very nice work going on here.eep at it.
  22. Man am I glad I was sitting down when I opened this last post. My jaw didn't have as far to fall. Great update Johnny. I know you have a bunch more surprises up your sleeve for this exquisite build. Looking forward to more.
  23. Whenever I get in a slump and just can't seem to find my motivation to get to the bench, I always bring out Joe's Garage dio and I can always find some things to add. That was the case last night. I had collected a few parts over the last few weeks and prepped them. Last night was the time to add them. First was the wooden creeper I had made for the back of the '66 Suburban build but it turned out too nice to hide in the back of the 'Burb. I added it behind the welder, against the wall. Next, I pulled a few of the plastic jugs from the many Fujimi tools kits I have and painted them a light blue for some contrast with all of the red and grey. Put them behind the 'big meat' as Chris called it. When building the 1/32nd scale Hemi Fiat, I had made two different size metal gas tanks and ended up using the smaller one on that build. I put the larger of them here on the bench. And lastly, somewhere I had acquired a crankshaft which took a bit of prep by sanding all of the seams. I chromed it with one of the new Molotow chrome pens. I'll see what else I have to add before putting this back on the shelf. Comments always welcome.
  24. How in the heck did I miss this?? This is looking awesome brother. Has any more been done on this build since November of 2013?
  25. Thanks brother. Did get a bit of inspiration and got the headers from the SoftSeal '57 Chevy modified sportsman kit shot with alclad. That's about it. Not even picture worthy.
