  1. Well, no picture since the knuckle is so small I decided to draw it. Made all out of brass and soldered where indicated. To keep the solder from filling up the steering arm hole, I use a piece of aluminum rod because the solder won't stick to it. Drawing not to scale. The long tube on the bottom can be soldered or glued depending on your wheel type. It would seem every time I do working steering, I come up with a new plan.
  2. I think we all do. He is a master painter. I said Painter with a P.
  3. A bit done on the working steering by soldering up a couple of brass knuckles. Now we have a roller. Still a bunch to do to the front and rear axles but at least the steering portion is done. I'll post some close ups of what I did.
  4. Today, I've been slowly updating this thread as well as another of mine with linked photos from Fotki since PBucket isn't allowing you to link to photos without paying a membership. Now PBucket seems to be working. I don't get it.
  5. Since PBucket has decided they want your $ to host your photos, I'll slowly be switching this thread as well as a few others over to Fotki. This will take time.

  11. I know this thread hasn't been posted on for a month and I can truly say Harry had a powerful influence on all who had the opportunity to interact with him either in person or online. As said previously 'Harry was the best friend I never met.' Based on the nine pages of comments, accolades, testimonials and stories, Harry was masterful in all areas of his life. I greatly miss his presence on this forum and think of him every time I see a scale side mirror. RIP brother of the styrene.
  12. Do you ever sleep?? My god man, you are a modeling machine. Always blown away by your handiwork. This is one of my favorite body styles for a funny car. The ones now don't hold a candle to what these were.
  13. That open box with the small decal sheet is the Fujimi Garage Tools kit. The Testors one, as you say, is very close. I'd say for $20, you got a smoking deal.
  14. Thanks Wayne. Glad to see you found my thread. Have you made any threads of your incredible work?
  15. Finally a bit of bench time and was able to get the front door hinges done. Also worked on the engine. Its all just mocked up at this point and held together with pins.
  16. Those levers, handles and the steering wheel with the use of the aluminum sheeting and wood is top shelf stuff lil' brother. Very impressive.
  17. Yes it is a sweet build and i hope to see it in person next spring. I also like the fact that you build a wide variety of subject matter.
  18. Best '33 I've seen, bar none.
  19. This will be one to follow. Looks like that chassis will need a bit of lengthening to get the front wheels to sit right. Anxious to see how you do with the body.
  20. Here...here. Although I don't think he'll be out terrorizing our streets out west but I will be on the look out.
  21. Tim - I sure hope you enjoyed your family vacation while we all here were impatiently waiting for another post from you. LOL That engine is friggin' spectacular. Worth the wait.
  22. That's one heck of an update Rick. So glad to see some progress on this beauty.
  23. The last pictures didn't post and I can't edit a post with pictures so here's the last picture. On edit: I was able to get all of the photos to repost.
