  1. OK Bill, last post of yours was early April. Where are you on this build? November is nearing.
  2. This build is a thing of beauty.
  3. That is really slick. Love it.
  4. Eeeegads! That thing was a beast. How much of that motor still lies under the hood? Have fun today and be safe.
  5. Very nice Rick. Neat trick with the stove bolt and film.
  6. Ahhh heck...Johnnie all of this looks so perfect. The wheels, bolts, tires, weathering...all of it. So good to see a rolling chassis. Model on brother.
  7. The Cretor's Company in Chicago was the inventor of the first popcorn machine and is still in business today. They have a couple of these vintage machines on display in their warehouse/showroom.
  8. Here's the aforementioned photos of the T47 tires from Scenes Unlimited. The tires still need a bit of roughing up to get the seam sanded off.
  9. But if you were broken, I'd bet you could make the part that's broken. You'd just need someone to install it.
  10. I'll get a couple of shots taken tonight Scott. Keep in mind the rims need to be thinner than what's shown here.
  11. Started work on the interior by making a small storage cabinet. I'm following the interior layout as best as I can make out from the original photo with a few improvisations from looking at the few interior shots I can find on the web.
  12. The T47s from Scenes Unlimited came in today and they are perfect. A little ruffing up and I put them on. The rims will now need to be thinned a bit to fit these skinnier tires.
  13. I can't say on this forum what I really want to about this build so far lil' brother but I think you can fill in the blanks. Holy _________, that __________ thing is the ______________.
  14. Thanks Scott. I had heard before of the T47's but when I looked a couple of months or so ago, they weren't being offered. Now Danny has them in stock so I ordered a set.
  15. Welcome back Wayne and I see you've come back with a seriously bad @ss build. Love the progress so far.
  16. Every morning I check in here to see if there's something new to drool over and my personal supply of drool is almost at capacity so come on Chris, help a fellow modeler out.
  17. Work on this build has ceased until I source some vintage tires. Nothing I've run across as of yet screams vintage so I'll continue to search and I hve plenty of other builds to occupy my time. Plus I have a number of threads I need to update photos. Thanks PBucket.
  18. Thanks for your interest Chris and Mike. I know the wood looks delicate however its more sturdy than I would have thought. It is plywood with three layers.
  19. Well, the paint on the rims wouldn't dry so in the purple pond they went. Not sure what was wrong with the paint so I threw the can away.
  20. Thanks for your interest fellas. Much appreciated. A bit of bench time and got the chassis attached to the floor, axles are painted and glued in, and rims have been painted. Need to add some silver to the outer most part of the rim yet. Mat just try the new Molotox Liquid Chrome pen. Next up is the firewall along with the coil both inside and outside.
  21. Dang it John, all of this is gorgeous and you are really banging through all of the details on these small items. Love your work brother.
  22. No words....other than super-impressed. I had to hyphenate it to keep it one word.
  23. Thanks Danno. What a pain to go and update all of my photos. And it doesn't help that my photos are on two different computers.
  24. Here's a couple of pictures and just as I thought, too small to make out any of the details out. These brass parts still need painting.
