  1. I recently returned from a trip to Dallas, TX, with the High School Robotics Team where they were participating in the VEX World Robotics Championships. In our daily commute from where we were staying in Garland to the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas we traveled on the construction site that is also know as I-635. Being a truck modeler I was particularly interested in the equipment being used, and one thing I noticed was that most (if not all) of the dump trucks being used on the site had sleeper cabs. My first thought was that they might have been tractors converted to dump trucks, but I don't think that's the case as it appeared to be across manufactures & companies. I wish I had gotten some decent shots. Perhaps someone from Texas could explain why they do this. Thanks.
  2. Very nice looking Charger. Well done.
  3. Nice job in such a small (for automotive modeling) scale. Sometimes 1/32 kit can look really "toy-like".
  4. Really nice looking Nova. Well done.
  5. Many people use 24AWG wire from either telephone or CAT5 cable.
  6. Great looking Monacos. Well done.
  7. Nice looking T-62A. Well done.
  8. Probably pick up the '32 Roadster & maybe the 1/32 Mack R600.
  9. Great looking Nova. Would that be considered Street Stock? I agree, this kit does build up nicely.
  10. Wallet is safe for May.
  11. That 8V92T is going to be a tight squeeze under there!
  12. Yes, AITM does wheels & tires together, but they also do (did) just wheel sets. The 2-hole wheel set is (was) P/N WS-9 for a tandem-axle truck.
  13. I've gotten them from AITM & Plaskit in the past.

    K.I.T.T.

Nice job on K.I.T.T. Well done.
  15. Nice looking Jag. Well done.
  16. No, they're quite different, aren't they.
  17. Very nice. I like the pump panel. Did you add the radios? Can't say as I've ever seen seatbelts like that in a rig, though.
  18. Thanks for the information, guys. So, it is not out of the relm of possibility to turn the AMT Fairlane 500 into a race car.
  19. Great looking Pete, KJ. Well done.
  20. Very nice combination.
  21. That's pretty cool. Your son looks happy to have it.
  22. Nice looking Oldsmobile. I like the figure, too.
  23. This kit has intrigued me since I saw Chris' (hpiguy's) video. Now, in the video he states that is can be built up as a stock Fairlane or a drag car. (Now, personally, I don't really get drag racing, but that's just me.) One thing I noticed on the decal sheet, among all the drag decals, were the big "57" decals, and it got me thinking: what would it take to make this kit into a race car? I saw in a previous post in this thread that it's possible, but what changes would have to be made?
