    Good information, Greg. So if I were to do a 1964 ALF 900 Series AeroChief 90 that has a white body, by NFPA standards the frame would be white as well? According to the Syracuse Fire Department, it was powered by a 6 cylinder 305 HP engine (Continental?) hooked to a 5-speed manual transmission. The plywood roof was added in 1968 due to the Race Riots, and it was repowered in 1973 with a Detroit Diesel 6-71N/265HP. Probably when it was rebuilt with a 100ft Seagrave midship aerial ladder.

    Do you think that this was an option from Mack, or was it something that was fabricated by the owner after receiving the truck from Mack? Either way, it's pretty cool. Yes, that's a big hook on the right!

    The DM is also Mack's vocational chassis (DM stands for Dump/Mixer). The R-series is a more highway oriented truck.

    Should be an interesting build, Charlie. Where in New York is the actual truck you're going to go see? Is it at the FASNY Museum in Hudson?

    Nice choice on the 6V71T. Is that from Auslowe? If it is, be careful, the turbo crossover pipe doesn't line up with the turbo.
