  1. Thanks for the info, Chuck. Yes, I have the latest reissue with the yellow F1 on the box. As to your offer, a local modeler has offered to trade me the Flathead V8 out of his 1949 Mercury kit for the one in the 1950 F1 kit. Seems reasonable to me.
  2. Mark, I seem to have just the opposite problem: too many kits & not enough projects!
  3. That's what I thought.
  4. Yes, and the decals are 1/16, not 1/25.
  5. Hmm, let me think about this for a second....YES!!! Would this also be used in a 1992 T600B, or did they still use the flat dash?
  6. You know, I REALLY need to remember that site. You'd think I'd bookmark it or something.
  7. Well, that's not too bad. I seem to remember the Ford AeroMax106 being listed somewhere at over $100.
  8. Picked up a VN780 earlier this year. Might get a 378 if the price is reasonable, but Italeri prices haven't been terribly "reasonable" as of late (in my opinion).
  9. I have a DM600 in the stash, so I probably won't get another one. Probably. I remember building the "Blue Devil" destroyer back in the 1980s. It's a big kit; needs a lot of work to make an accurate Fletcher-class destroyer, but a fun build none the less.
  10. Bummer! Looks like I need to track down a stock Flathead V8.
  11. I have a Revell Ford F1 in the stash. In reviewing the instructions, it doesn't apear that you can build the engine stock, but only as a customized Flathead V8. Does anyone know if the exhaust manifold & carburator are in the box?
  12. All of the AMT Kenworth W925 kits were the same. Only the decals were different. Although later issues had the spring suspensions making them actually W923. Looks like someone scratchbuilt an American-LaFrance Pioneer cab for the Ladder Chief. (Technically, it's a truck, not an engine. There's no pump for water.)
  13. I agree, nice start. How are you going to extend the rear of the frame?
  14. I like this stripes. They look very Kenworth-ish. So you know, the General or Bison will REALLY try your patience. They are not very well fitting kits. Just a thought, but shouldn't you be studying or doing homework in study hall?
  15. Nice scores, Terry. Looking forward to your Kenworth mixer fleet.
  16. That's a lot of kits, but $8500 seems a little excessive to me. But hey, what do I know.
  17. He generally doensn't update his site very often; if at all.
  18. Very nice job!
  19. I like them both. They look nice. Good ideas.
  20. Chevrolet Titan/90: http://public.fotki.com/modeltrucks25thscale/truckkit_instructions/amt/t529_chevy_titan_90/ White/Freightliner SD: http://public.fotki.com/modeltrucks25thscale/truckkit_instructions/amt/t530_white-freightl/ Hope that helps.
  21. Thought I recognized this truck. Ciotti is from East Syracuse, NY, just down the road from me (as is the guy who runs The Daily Diesel Dose).
  22. I got one from Sourkraut several years ago, but I do not know if he still has them.
  23. Check with John over at Special Appearance Decals ( specialappearancedecals@yahoo.com ), assuming that he's still in business. http://www.ebay.com/usr/special_appearance_decals
