  1. Looking nice, Tim. I thought Schlumberger used orange?
  2. Ray, if you did that, would you have to switch the hood to make it a W900B? I'm thinking that you'd have to.
  3. I heard that, too. The Series 60 is available form Auslowe. I have one. It's nice.
  4. Oh, I'm not knocking the kit. It's a really nice kit, and I like how it fits together. You could also make it a Aerodyne II sleeper by replacing the square sleeper doors with the round sleeper doors from the AMT T600 kit.
  5. Aaron, so you know, all of Gary Wallace's Kenworth kits are based on this cab.
  6. The engine in the AMT Kenworth Aerodyne is a 8V71T. SourKraut also has offeres the Backyard Shed Cummins V903; while Auslowe offers the V903 and the VT903. Melbourne Model Truck Accessories offers a 8V92TA.
  7. This link might help: http://yardtruck.com/newandused.htm
  8. The forward leaning windshield (althought not very aerodynamic) cuts down on glare. If you look at the bridge windows of most US Navy ships they lean forward like that. It's especially noticable on aircraft carriers, some crusiers, and the Spruance-class destroyers.
  9. Yes, the orange & white Astro & the black Kenworth W900 with the tank trailer are mine. I live about 45 minutes South of Fulton. The W900 actually took second place in the "Show & Shine". Believe me, no one was more suprised than I!!
  10. Wow! Talk about Men in Black!
  11. Ok, that's just creepy!
  12. Injector lines look nice.
  13. Ok, here's a question for the 1:1 truck drivers on the board: what's the wierdest load you've ever hauled? I mean real "head scratchers". The type of load where you got the paperwork/went out to the trailer and said, "What the heck is that?". Those type of loads. Not being a driver, I don't have any myself, but I had a friend (other that you guys) who was a driver. One day she (yes, she) was hauling a a refrigerated van full of grass seed, so she said she was a "reefer hauing grass". Ok, that's not wierd, but it is mildly humorous.
  14. Nice work. So, what exactly is the use for the sleeper in this application? Would it actually be used for sleeping, or is it more for storage?
  15. Telephone wire will work well, or CAT-5 cable (both are 24awg). You could also check the model railroad section of your LHS for some 30awg stranded. That won't "coil" well, but it does look like air hose. Rasio Shack had speaker wire, which is way too big for 1/25. By the way, I like the color.
  16. Your trailer came out really nice. Looks like the log traiers we see around here in Upstate New York. Got any shots of the tractor?
  17. Didn't Peterbilt also offer them in the 352H? I'm pretty sure I've heard of them in Kenworth W900s as well, but I'm not sure about the K100. Might be too short.
  18. Very nice. I like your dash details.
  19. That looks great. with all of thise parts, it's a model in itself. Wonder if I can stuff that under the hood od a W900.
  20. That's coming along really nice.
  21. Nice tutorial, Ryan. Might have to try that one of these days.
