  1. Thanks. Hopefully we'll get some sun, but I'm not counting on it. I'll get some outside shots eventually!
  2. Well, I'm calling her done! I managed to get the wing on the roof of the sleeper, and the turn signals on the fenders. The wing is from Eric (Porky), and has been cut down to 72" wide. The bracket is scratch built, and isn't too bad for a first attempt. I wanted to put a drop visor on it, but all the ones I made didn't look very good. I have another one of these kits down stairs, maybe I'll see if I can get a visor that looks decent. We'll see. If I get some decent weather tomorrow, I'll try to get some outside shots with the Fruehauf tanker. I like this shot!
  3. Well, I guess that explains that. Isn't there a "bolt-on" stringer that can be used on just about any tractor so it can pull a log trailer?
  4. That's awesome! I love it. Nice weathering.
  5. So, that's where the magic happens! Very, very nice hobby room. Maybe one day I'll have a decent hobby room. Actually, I'd just be happy with decent lighting!
  6. Very nice! What? You couldn't make a log truck out of that?
  7. This one: Car Modeler Article?
  8. I like it. It's not a 100% accurate Snowman W900, but it's still a very nice "Snowman Inspired" W900. I think you did a great job.
  9. Oh, it just has to to with the position of the trailer in relation to the rear of the sleeper/mudflaps. Since the fifth wheel is fixed on this kit, I cannot move it back. If this truck were to haul the livestock trailer, it could only go straight; because if it tried to turn the trailer would punch a hole in the back of the sleeper & rip of the mudflaps. But I agree with you, it seems like Peterbilts & Kenworths do a lot of livestock hauling out West.
  10. Thanks, guys. Scott, a flatbed? Hmmm, I'll have to think about that. I do have two in the stash, and one will be a aluminum drop-deck. That one is slated for the Alaska Hauler, though. Actually, it looks prety good with the Amoco tanker, but not so much with the Willson livestock trailer.
  11. Thanks, guys. Justin, the license plate is a 1987 Florida apportioned plate.
  12. Ok, so not much has happened since the last update, but I did manage to replace the air intake system with aluminum tube, scratch build some 90deg elbows, got the "Alcoa Wheel" logos on the front wheels, and make a fifth wheel release handle. It's not much, but it's something.
  13. Nice job on weathering to old AC. Very nice.
  14. That's the spirit!!
  15. I thought Illini was casting his own stuff, but Dave just hosting the gallery.
  16. Ok, I'll be the "stick in the mud": I don't get it. Yes, they're nice builds, and very well done; but I still don't get it.
  17. How come I can never find those 40% off coupons in my Sunday paper? We have a Hobby Lobby near by.
  18. Round2/AMT just reissued the Fruehauf Tank Trailer, and the have the Fruehauf Van Trailer scheduled for later this year. Last year they reissued the Fruehauf Faltbed Trailer and the Peerless Log Trailer. If you go to eBay and search for "Fruehauf" or "Great Dane", quite a few trailers come up.
  19. I really like these trucks. I might have to try my hand at one one of these days. I think my biggest problem will be getting the little details correct. Like the ladders, logos, and the headlights. Bitner, your blue cab looks perfect! Excellent job. The Allied cab is vry nice, too.
  20. The Diamond Reo will be nice to have, too.
  21. Not sure, but I doubt it. The Italeri Freightliner is 1/24, & I'm pretty sure the AITM Marmon 57P cab is 1/25. Maybe the AMT International 4300 or Paystar kits. Here's a little incentive: Marmon Trucks
