  1. Yes, I got it a AutoZone. It's engine paint. Tim A. turnd me on to it. It's good stuff.
  2. I used Dupli-Color High Heat Aluminum for mine.
  3. I don't know if anyone has ever made them specifically for model trucks, but you should be able to find something about the right size in the model railroad section of your LHS. Maybe O Gauge wheels would work?
  4. Patience, Grasshopper! All things in time. Thanks for the compliments.
  5. "Twisted" was probably a poor chioice of words. Let's just say it has a "slight pull to the right". Guess I need a front end allignment!
  6. Interesting information, Richard. Thanks. So on a straight truck (dump, box van, mixer, etc.) would there only be one button (yellow diamond) on the dash? When was the switch over to the two button system from the three button system?
  7. If the red "octagon" knob is the tractors brakes & the yellow "diamond" is your service line & trailer brakes; what's the blue "circle"?
  8. Thanks, guys. I'm glad you like it so far. It's been a pretty nice build, but I have a twist in the frame that I haven't been able to get out. You can't really see it in the pics, but the radiator is at an angle to the frame. Not exactly sure how I'm going to fix that. Sergey: the Mack filter decals are made by Scale Truck Detail Studios. You can get them from SourKraut or from Model Truckin' (Mack Filter Decals) Rick: yes, those are the Mack spokes that Daniel sells in the package (wheels, square tanks, etc), but I only bought the wheels from him. Didn't need the square tanks for this build. I think AITM sells Mack wheels as well, but they come with a tire on them.
  9. Here are a couple of pics of my 1975 APA Mack R685ST. There were a couple of days last month were it was warm enough to paint, so I managed to get the frame & wheels painted. The wheels are Mack spokes from Plaskit. Hopefully it will warm up enough here in the next couple of weeks so I can get the cab & hood painted.
  10. They're not listed on the site as a seperate piece. They're actually part of the K104 Trans Kit. Email Nigel (use the Contact Us Page), and ask him.
  11. Isn't that your famous "Detroit-piller"?
  12. I like it. I can't tell, is it black or green? Whatever color it is, it's nice. Is that the kit's Caterpiller 3406 under the hood?
  13. That looks really, really nice. Excellent job.
  14. They were probably brought back to Canada & the US as war prizes.
  15. Those are some pretty impressive layouts.
  16. Decent looking weathering. That's one used Ford.
  17. Nice job! Those are some serious flood lights on the back.
  18. That's cute!
  19. Nice looking WT9000. Did you scratch build the cab?
  20. I like it. I remeember plenty of those from my time in Lounsiana. We used to say that you hadn't been in Louisiana very long if you didn't have a cracked windshield or a broken headlight due to a logging truck!
  21. I think all the LoneStars in that container are already sold! Hope you've got another one on the way.
  22. I'm assuming that this is supposed to be Ireland? Maybe a roadster, like a Bently or an Aston Martin. Didn't James Bond drive a silver Aston Martin DB5?
  23. Depending on the year, in this case the late 1970s, gold would be an appropriate choice. I've found that Tamiya Gold Leaf X-12 is pretty close. The 300-Plus ETAZ-673A was copper colored.
  24. You're logger looks really nice. I like the subtile weathering, and the details. That dash is really pretty (I didn't think I'd ever say that about a Paystar). Excellent job so far.
