I am working on the Lindberg 1964 Dodge 330, and I am planning on using the Slant 6 in the car, making it a nothing special, get around town kind of commuter car. However, I am a little confused as to what color to paint the engine. The instructions say Chrysler Engine Blue, yet they show a red engine on the box. Go figure. I checked here: And it seems to confirm that the Slant 6 should be red in 1964, but yet again, Internet searches show red & blue Slant 6 engines. Might this have something to do with the "size" of the engine? I'm kind of confused. ? Also, they say to paint the transmission Chrysler Engine Blue.

So, I am planning on swapping out the kit V8 with a VCG Resins Ford Y-Block stock F100 engine. The VCG Resins kit comes with either a Ford-O-Matic 2 speed auto trans, or a 3 speed TopLoader manual trans. I'm not sure what the AMT kit has (automatic, I think). What transmission would be appropriate for a F100? Thanks.

Would any of the other transmissions listed be appropriate for a truck? What would be the most logical? Thanks.
