  1. The recent issue Revell "32 Ford 5 window coupe" does have one.
  2. Here is the exact conversion you are talking about. Bronco axle on F250 chassis. I had to alter the crossmember and add the mounts for the double shocks. This is for a F150. Here is the complete chassis showing the transfer case. This transmission and transfer case are from the LIndberg F150 Off Road 4x4. The WIP for the conversion is here: http://www.modelcars...1990 +f150 +4x4 I have some pics of the 1:1 truck I will post if I get the chance.
  3. Saw these at a local car show over the weekend. The first is a "Bianchini" (I think), and it is tiny!
  4. I think your paint is awesome! Is it brushed, airbrushed or what? How long does it take to paint a car like that?
  5. Great job on the copter, Jim What a hoot, Mike. Perfect finishing touches.
  6. Good job! I'm into my second year smoke free after 30 years on. As my girlfriend says, "Everybody loves a quitter!"
  7. I also have a Nikon Coolpix, but I don't use the Nikon software. I plug in the USB cord, turn on the camera, and it opens Windows Camera and Scanner Wizard automatically.
  8. The closest thing I can think of are the boxes that I get metal drawer slides in. They are about 22" x 6" x 4-6". If that size would work, you might try a local cabinetmaker or hardware store. I would expect them to be free, I just recycle the ones I get.
  9. To further confuse things, Size Matters! While making a replica of my 1:1 truck, I found a paint that matched the 1:1 perfectly. When I put it on the model, it looked horrible. I had to use a much "whiter" white on the model for it to look like the full size truck.
  10. That came out great, Mike! I bet you're proud of that one.
  11. Skip, I'm making hose reels, like you would see on a fire truck or fuel tanker, so the discs are structural. Thanks for the suggestion, tho.
  12. I have some of those blades in a hobby knife set. I need a better compass, the one I have does not have the threaded adjustment. How does that rig work on smaller circles?
  13. I knew you guys would come through. That's a bunch of good ideas. I do have a scroll saw and a Dremel, and I think I'll try making punches out of pipe. I wondered if I'd get any suggestions about a compass, I may try mounting a knife on one. Thanks to all.
  14. Mike, that thing is looking great! Hard to believe it started out as a computer mouse.
  15. I need to cut several discs out of .030 styrene. They need to be fairly accurate circles, and I have to cut multiples of the same size. Most are going to be in the 3/4" to 1" diameter range. Any suggestions?
  16. Looking good, Nick! Nice job on the door panels and running boards.
  17. Looks like you're off to a good start, Nick. Great job lettering those tires. One good part about building a replica of your 1:1 is you just have to walk outside for references. I'll be watching.
  18. KOO-WULL! Everything about it came out great. The flattie looks good. Paint and interior really nice. Great job, Bill.
  19. Thanks for the kind words, Alan. I was really surprised to see someone had dug this up.
  20. I think the problem is going to be that you will want to put it over paint. It doesn't take that much heat to activate it, and it would probably work on bare plastic. There is also a liquid "Monokote Trim Solvent" that will make it stick without heat. I suspect that either the heat or the solvent would ruin a paint job, tho. Looking forward to the results of your experiments, I have a bunch of scraps of it too!
  21. Thanks, Jim. That tank in the bed is gonna be full of diesel. Hopefully I'll even have a little bit to share!
  22. I'm just getting started on the crane. After I get that done, it's hose reels, welder, tool boxes, etc. And then some arms and armor!
