  1. Nice job! It looks great!
  2. This is looking good! I know you used the sleeper cab from the RoG, it looks like you also used the cab from the RoG kit, am I right? Still impressed with what can be done with those snap kits!
  3. To make a modern Transtar as Chuck is showing here, somebody could probably could use the Moebius truck frame and this Jada cab. But looking at the grill, the front end is a little lower though:
  4. Yes, absolutely, I've seen it done, I also have seen some that were completely scratch built!
  5. Thanks for the comments! The basic kit was great, I added some bits and pieces to make it mine. Quite a bit of work went into this, and the end result is quite fine by me. So unless you drastically modified an AMT lowboy trailer, if you wanted a modern lowboy, this was the only game in town.
  6. I think we were quite a few to get ripped off by that OTHER guy.
  7. There you go, blowing everyone's mind again with outstanding work... And an unusual subject! Keep at it!
  8. Hot dashboard, nice oily Cat, puts a high bar for the rest of the build!
  9. Beautiful rig! love the paint scheme and colorson the Pete, very nice old school truck, excellent build.
  10. I think I haven't posted anything on this one, anyway, I didn't find any, so here goes. KJ made a kit for a lowboy some time ago, so when I got my copy, I started building it almost right away. It has a 3D printed framerails, mostly cut "Evergreen" styrene parts, a good quantity of resin molded parts and balsa wooden planks for the side floors. I made myself a Lego gage to make the trailer straight and proceeded with the build. It was fairly straightforward and easy to put together. I wanted more suspension detail so I swapped it for an Auslowe suspension and brake kit, added wiring and plumbing and scratchbult hydraulic cylinders for the detachable gooseneck. I'm almost finished with it, it needs a couple safety beacons in the back and a license plate. Here is what it looks like now: You've seen this LTL before, I'm using it for fitting and demo: from the rear Nice 2 resin hole rims and rubber tires included in the kit Showing some of the rear brake system and wooden floor Those nice wheels again with the scratch built big "D" panel Functional cylinders Unhooking gooseneck Unhooked Cylinders retracted Ready to load that dozer, almost... like I said, almost done! Needs it's own tractor and Dozer now.
  11. Yep, something along those very precise lines!
  12. A "Bee" Mack and a buzzin duzzin! What a combo! Love it, beautiful work on this!
  13. One of my favorites to build, this truck almost puts itself together and looks great even without mods!
  14. Wow, this is beautiful detailing! I'd leave it out to be seen instead of installing it in a truck and just show it once in a while! As far as a V16 being installed in a truck, Werner has a show truck that has a twin turbocharged Detroit 16V92 in a freightliner Classic!! See the engine here: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/500603314801562909/ And a picture of the truck is on this page: http://photo.net/no-words-forum/00Tkqn
  15. It does look like a toy. But, cut off the cab from the hood, keep the hood and with some work and a daycab from Dave, it would look a whole lot better.
  16. Oh yeah! the one with the tool boxes and strap winches and put 2 hole steel wheels on it!
  17. That flatbed would be awesome! Lets have that, I'll buy 10!
  18. The trim around the doors is BareMetal foil, it is great for chrome trim! It's basically a self adhesive, very thin aluminum foil, that you peel off, stick to the surface and cut the surplus witha very sharp hobby knife. Easy to find over the internet hobby shops. Thanks for the good words!
  19. Whoa! Finally! Nice badass ride, I like the equipment you put on it, the rack, the toolboxes all in black or almost, it was worth the wait!
  20. That is going to look swwwweet! I have seen those tires before!!! Those look just right for this type of truck! Also, I know what I'll be doing with my Superliner... Put a KFS transkit on it!
  21. Man these 3D printers are something aren't they! Right out of Star Trek I tell ya! Really nice cab and hoods you have there, sure to make an impression on any show table!
