  1. Aligning the cab to the Hood... That can be a lot of fun sometimes.
  2. Yes, very nice Aston! Great finish, good choice of colors and nicely detailed. But are the tires on correctly? I'm nit picking but the tire threads seem wrong to me, big thread blocks on the Inside on the right rear wheel and big thread blocks on the outside on the left rear wheel. Same thing in front except reversed! Of course, you don't have to drive the thing...
  3. I'm always amazed at what can be done with these kits! Nice!
  4. Nice paint, clean build!
  5. You have some neat stuff there! I like your W900! FINALLY!
  6. That is quite the catalog you're building up there Ben, really nice stuff!
  7. Thanks Chuck! Yes I figured that out,,, It's just that this color makes it stand out nicely. By the way, have you noticed the rear wheels on the red truck? Am I seeing this correctly: 5 studs?
  8. That blue one looks great, it's got character, nice curves, the right amount of chrome parts and just the right attitude. One of the nicest aero trucks... Looks even better than my (now 2nd) favorite, the Prostar!
  9. A Tamiya 1:12 scale 2015 Corvette Z06 with the same detail level as their Ferrari Enzo... That would get me reaching for my wallet so quickly!
  10. Those are pretty cool! I prefer the 2 & 3rd picture design, will be very nice on a custom!
  11. I can't be the only one still waiting for one of these, am I?? I mean a decent one from AutoArt or Greenlight? I have a resin ZL1 from Luxury Models, it's nice but I'm more into diecast with opening hoods and doors and trunks... I guess it's not as important as a Mustang GT 500... How about a Corvette ZR-1, or a more upscale 2014 Corvette Stingray (I have all the Maistos, ALL of them are modified with carpeting and painted moldings and more detailing and also a BBR resin) for that matter? anyone?
  12. I have used the alclad enamel gloss black and the Tamiya gloss black lacquer under the Alcald chrome. The Alclad black takes forever to dry but the Tamiya takes like an hour and both give you excellent results. Its the chrome that has to be applied properly, The chrome Alclad must be sprayed at low pressure 15-20 psi and also with low flow with several passes. That is how I get the best results. Not quite real chrome but looks a lot like polished aluminum. Excactly what you what for most truck parts.
  13. An IH 2500 series S would go with this.
  14. I understand what Chuck is saying, he has a good point. But modest priced model cars and trucks are all compromises because of cost. Lets say somebody produces exact 24.5 inch rims for 1:24th scale trucks, you'll need to get the corresponding tires as well in all cases so it could get more expensive than people would like. At 2$ per tire for 10... That's 20$ right there and not counting at least another 15$ for wheels. That is the price of a whole kit. What is nice about KJ's wheels, they fit italeri tires and there are more options, you can mix and match kit tires and wheels with aftermarket items, furthermore, they fit 1:24th and 1:25th trucks. If there is a market for real 1:24th scale rims and tires I'm all for it. More choices is what I like. By the way KJ, your wheels look spot on, those 5 holes are killer!
  15. The more I look at the pictures, the better I like it! It does look like a modern interpretation of the big Diamond Reo. As for the middle bar in the grill, I don't mind it, it's like the vertical split on a Pontiac grill.
  16. Love it! Beautiful color combo here, nice and clean detailed daycab.
  17. When I first saw the Optimus Prime truck, I thought it looked too good not to be introduced as a production piece. And there you go. I think It looks a lot better than the 5900. If Italeri doesn't do anything about it, I'm pretty sure Auslowe (or another) is going to produce a trans-kit in resin for the Italeri kit.
  18. White, rust and dirty, the way they used to look. Nice job!
  19. Thanks! This truck is now 2 years old and it has a 3 axle step deck hitched to it, the truck and trailer have Laidlaw markings. Pictures to come if interested, even if you're not! As for the spread axle, I did one on an AMt flatbed I hitched up to a K100. Maybe I should show that as well...
  20. That is lookin' goooood! It's going to be even better with the decals! Nice job man! Still no toolboxes... But excellent nonetheless!
  21. Hey! Any progress on this interesting build?
  22. You are right Aaron and the subject really is for Moebius. But my point is, there is no request to the other manufacturers out there. Thre might be some hope from Revell (ROG). But not much else. The others just re-edit the older kits which is ok, but I'd like some more newer subjects. So I guess our best bet for now really is Moebius... Hakan, I wouldn't get the shiny parts chromed by an outside firm, I'd paint them with Alcald II. It's a waste of time having to remove the chrome of parts before repainting with chrome again once they are trimmed and sanded down smooth.
  23. Too bad this kits fits weird... But you have made pretty good work of it anyway, looks good in this color. Not sure about the black all over the interior, I think it should have been dark grey but still looks good. For the exhaust extensions, the kit IS accurate both extensions are the same! On the real car, it's the same thing. IFor a reason I'm still trying to figure out they didn't route the tailpipes equally on both sides, so they installed the same extension on both sides. I'll have to study a Firebird Formula or Trans-Am, 'cause they don't seem to have the same issue. I changed the exhaust on my Z28 to a Magnaflow and solved this...
