  1. In the text he says there were only 11 stretched Astros built by GMC. So, that one is probably the only one left that is rebuildable. Talk about rare! Good subject for a scale build.
  2. Sooooo... This little Challenger puts out: a nice 707HP and 650 Lb-ft. Nuff said.
  3. So this is only to start a little discussion on our old favorites being updated or just being dropped. What do you think? After seeing the Kenworth T680 and T880 with a new cab, do you think the W900 series will be updated or just be dropped? Same thing for the Pete 388-389, will they inherit the same new cab from the 567 and 579 or just die? Can the industry still support the classic square nosed chromed clad classics? Let's talk! Heck, draw what you think they should look like!
  4. It did take some time! Well spent I think.
  5. Hey Dave! Congratulations to you and your lady for your new kid! By the way, PM sent for the 9900i!!!
  6. Wow! The A&N Freightliner, looks like it's taking shape nicely! Which donor kit are you using for the frame? Looking really good from this angle! I have the same Freightliner kit, I'll be watching this with great interest! Any issues up to now?
  7. So, I'm guessing this is the AMT kit? Very nice striping job, the colors go well together. I like the square headlights too, this is going to look very good.
  8. That would look cool all restored at truck shows. It would also be a nice model project. But 1:25 Crackerbox cabs are few and far between! For the engine, I guess there is a 6-71 under that cab but an 8V71 wasn't uncommon for these. It's definitely doable.
  9. The least we can say about Internationals, they are distinctive! Nothing else look like them. Those Loadstars are icons from my youth, they were in every form, School buses, Armored trucks, dump trucks, single and dual axles, delivery trucks, heating oil delivery tankers, tractor trailers, flatbeds, long and short, milk delivery trucks, you name it, they were everywhere!
  10. Looks like it's a mix of different Petes hashed together with a strong hint of the 346 model. Not the best looking truck, Poor thing.
  11. Mack B and IH Emeryville, my 2 favorite vintage trucks! There's just something about these! Maybe the odd GMC Crackerbox ohhh, and the 9500 long hood with the single headlights, the Astro and the Chevy Titan and the IH Transtar II, the Mack R... Well, I like most of 'em as long as they're nice and clean!
  12. You know, sometimes I get more glare from the sun reflecting off windshields and back windows of other cars than from a polished tanker or reefer back door!
  13. This wrecker body looks like a natural for the Lonestar. This is not the first one I see and surely not the last either! Nice job of this particular one, nice paint job and integration of the whole truck altogether. Good job!
  14. White matches anything! Most of ths time I'm surprised at how good these Revell kits look once finished.
  15. That is one good lookin' rig, love the color and the trailer matched to the truck. A winner in my book!
  16. That should look pretty good once built. I can picture it as a Shell Oil tanker...
  17. This is going to look good in these colors. I'd paint the sleeper cab the same color as the hood and cab. I like the 2 hole wheels too, they seem to fit this truck just right. Nice start!
  18. Very nice! I think these Volvo COE trucks are some of the best looking Euros. Good job on this replica, it does look like the real thing!
  19. This is looking good!
  20. The best people to ask for these would probably be Czech truck model. Thye really have a comprehensive catalog of photo etch stuff.
  21. Some time ago I built a step deck trailer and used yellow 1/8 inch ribbon I found at Walmart in the hobby department. They sell these in 10 yd rolls. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=70254&hl=%2Bstep+%2Bdeck#entry870437
  22. I'd like to see this kick some Japanese butt! Nice "What if" concept! How about a Mustang or Challenger to compete with Audi/Mercedes/BMW in DTM?
