  1. Preface, there really isnt a good location on this forum for hobby products/news/reviews that is not kits or resins , so I guess here in this section for now. New product from a company called Plamo Improvement Commission , its a decal tray, it comes with a pair of scissors and plastic tweezers, kind of neat, it was $12 US. Bin to put the used backing paper in Lower the tray into the water
  2. Its a decal try, you put the decal on the blue sponge piece, then dip in the water and the bring it back up till the decal comes free of the backing paper, I am working on a review video for it .
  3. You can NOT use automotive grade primers/paints( from the can for the point of the this post) on most Japanese plastics, you need to either stick with the Japan primers ( Tamiya /Mr Surfacer, etc) or seal the plastic first before use. But it seems you have already learned this lesson. Ive ruined/crazed more kits than I care to count from using to hot primers like Duplicolor or Craployn or even $1 primers from Wal-Mart.
  4. There is none, probably because its 100% showroom stock kit, I have no doubts that someone will make the off road bits in either resin or 3D printed at some point, and maybe a Left Hand Drive dash too.
  5. The decal pack is pretty nice.
  6. I use empty Tamiya primer cans as paint stands a lot more than I use the actual paint stands.
  7. Nah, the purple does not harm the metal one bit, Ive cleaning my Tamiya paint stands in the none generic what used to be called Castrol Super Clean for a few years and the metal is just as good as it was the day I took it out of the box. I clean them every couple of months , so I would think if any damage was going to occur, it would of happened by now. In fact, I have two of my stands in the Super Clean right now.
  8. Bill, I use the purple pond to clean my Tamiya paint stands all the time, including the metal parts, give it a try, you will thank me later.
  9. Oh I forgot all about the old annual tooling that got change every year.
  10. I am assuming Revell had to make a new mold for the body ?, is it possible to even make changes to already cut tooling ?
  11. Yes, I simply forgot to take a photo of them.
  12. Correct, because it is a separate item, and that sounds a lot better than saying I simply forgot about it. So here it is for those that might be interested in the Sold Separately detail set
  13. Its a nice kit despite being a snap kit,
  14. Typo's, they will get ya every time.
  15. That is what it looks Bob, I am not seeing mold/seem lines, so one should be able to build this sucker right out of the box and not have worry about removing them. On a personal note, I am looking forward to building this one, I am having/had fun building the Hustler.
  16. Super lovely, the color is perfect for the car.
  17. Nice work. I gave up building the one I have, maybe one day I will finish it.
  18. Very nice
  19. I agree, overall the detail is pretty decent for being a snapper if you will, $35 US https://hlj.com/1-24-scale-car-next-009-toyota-fj-cruiser-white-fuj06612
  20. Tamiya hands down.
  21. Second round for this tooling, some new parts, mostly consisting of some aero bits, new front and rear bumper pieces and wheels +decals, I would normally just post photos of the new bits then link to another thread , but since Photobucket Gate, that thread is useless now. Everything from this point on contains parts from the first run aka the stock version. The small chrome tree is new for this kit as well, but I thought it was smart to do the chrome bits in the same photo.
