Got some Chrysler steelies and some T/As from Joseph yesterday. I plan to use the wheels on a '71 Duster.

Bumpity-bump. I have the same issue with 10 cans, all MM lacquer except 1 MM enamel. I contacted them and sent pictures. She mentioned that one of the cans I sent a picture of had been manufactured in 2000 and the newest one that she could make out the code was manufactured in 2007. She said that it was that the propellent had hardened and that is what was leaking. Even so, she is offering me a 1-time goodwill gesture of some free paint.

Uh, thanks for the rehoming offer. Working on something else right now, but the Firestones may wind up on a Cougar.

Only tires now

I got one of these yesterday. I thought they might be good "day two" rolling stock for the Chevelle. The tires seem like a poor fit to the Chevelle's wheel backs, so I might use them on something else instead.

Revell 1968 Chevy Chevelle SS 396...........My take
Rodent replied to MrObsessive's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Correct. The chrome oval tips started in 69 for the SS. -
FWIW, any of my comments on availability of this kit in this thread were not, "OMFG, I can't find it yet". Only commented that it hadn't hit the shelves in NorCal yet. I just didn't want it badly enough to mail order it. I don't have the Boss 302 yet either.

Doug, I think it is AMAZING that you are 74 and are so involved in the 3D printing thing.

I have been selling some stuff on eBay lately and I am deathly afraid of doing the same thing Been writing what the item is on the outside of the box.

My birth year isn't part of my profile on here. Not trying to hide anything, just decided that putting my full DOB on da interwebs wasn't a good idea. Eisenhower was president when I was born, and my Chinese Zodiac sign is the same as my avatar.

Help with Revell 90 Mustang LX Drag Racer kit
Rodent replied to shoopdog's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
No clue. That is definitely the front crossmember for the stock suspension. I had a 1:1, and the motor mounts, lower control arms, coil springs, and rack & pinion all mount to it. Don't see what you are supposed to do when using the coilovers and tubular lower arms. -

Finally got one yesterday at Hobby Lobby. It was the only one they had and it was occupying the space for something else.

Scale Model Air Conditioning Parts

Forgot about the 72 Cutlass convertible. -
Email coming at you Snake. One of my many stalled projects is making a Malibu SS L79 convertible out of the Z16 kit. If you strip the chrome from the rear panel, you can reshape it to look like the Malibu panel. The PE set has the part between the tail lamps and all the scripts you need. Half round plastic makes the chrome molding around the perimeter. The hardest part was narrowing the rear seat and making the quarter trim panels. You could always build the one of one beige Z16 convertible of legend and lore.

This is the time to mate an AMT 69 body to the Revell 68 chassis.
