  1. Your significant other taught them to do that. "Model kit delivery alert".
  2. Best unsolicited advice I ever received was from my neighbor. He told me to stop using bar soap and I would have a lot less soap scum in the shower. He was right! Agreed on the floor polish. I suspect that the folks that still have the flooring that Future was intended for are probably not into doing anything to it past maybe sweeping.
  3. If your phone is set up to use Google Photos, copies of your photos will be there. No need to transfer from the phone.
  4. Yes, but you can save the image and reduce it to whatever scale you want.
  5. Yes, the CHP used Montereys in 1970. They were odd cars. Even though the 429 had come online for civilian use, the police package was still the tried and true 428 Police Interceptor. Legend has it that the cowboy cops found them "tail happy" after years of understeering Dodges because Ford added a rear stabilizer bar to the police package. I found one at PickNPull in 1999-2000 and I am 100% certain that they didn't know what they had. The only thing missing was the carburetor. The engine and C6 transmission were intact and I am sure someone got them for $100-200. LAPD used 351C-4V Montegos in 1970 which were probably a good match for the 383 Belvederes they used previously. Nice build, I enjoyed it!
  6. Person to person long distance calls used to have to be placed by the operator and it was expensive.
  7. American River in the Sacramento area.
  8. Not anyone that would be known here, but my friend Gary passed on June 1. He wasn't a car guy or car modeler, but as a USAF veteran of the Vietnam era he built some planes that were important to him. He was mostly into model railroading and figures. He also loved 1:1 trains and made frequent trips to Jamestown (current home of The Hooterville Cannonball) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sierra_No._3. He was also a mural artist who brightened up the restaurant he worked at as a retirement job. It was a sad rerun of Harry P's diagnosis of "lower back pain" that turned out to really be fast spreading colon cancer. Rest in peace Gary. We miss ya, you little elf.
  9. It has been kind of warm here, but we have been getting some tropical moisture today and a little cooling. Went for a walk after work, and I am still grateful to be able to walk 15 minutes and see this. Been in this house 31 years and have taken many walks to this area. It is always different, but always amazing.
  10. I know that I had some at one time, but I can't find them now. They were probably the first cans to blow out. I went through the stash yesterday and threw away another 16 bad cans of various colors of MM lacquer.
  11. Butt bunions included?
  12. Good eye. Looks like a Grand Caravan lamp on the left, a Town & Country on the right.
  13. sprinklers or sprinkles?
  14. Local band for me. https://www.cakemusic.com/
  15. Yippie, skippie, and a sweet bippie to bet.
  16. I took a straight-on photo of my neighbor's 1:1 plate, cropped it and printed it 1/2"x1/4". Added a PE frame and it looks pretty decent in 1/25.
  17. Babe was a pig that acted in two movies.
