  1. What would it take to build a 442? Three 442 emblems (fenders and trunk), a dual snorkel air cleaner, and the appropriate decals for said dual snorkel air cleaner? Edit: OK, I am seeing that there was also a rear stabilizer bar. That is easy on an A-Body. I was thinking that the '65 was the first year for that. I am seeing both of these aircleaners on '64s. Wonder what the story is? OK, edit 2.0 -- Looks like the original kit had an automatic trans. Looking forward to Tim's dissection this weekend. I already have a spare 65 GTO roof to make a Holiday Coupe when the time comes.
  2. I have a Fiat that my parents' next door neighbor bought at K-Mart and never built. He gifted it to me a few years later. Think his wife made him get rid of it.
  3. Owned a 1:1 77 GMC and I am fairly sure that it had an NP203, not an NP205. It was born full time 4WD, but had the gas crisis 2.0 Doug Nash part time conversion with Warn hubs when I adopted it in 1988.
  4. Package arrived from Burbank's. I have been patiently waiting for my LHS to get the Nova but so far no luck. I put my name on the "notify" list at Burbank's and grabbed one when they got them. The T1 was cheaper than my LHS, and since I was paying shipping on the Nova, I decided to grab one.
  5. OK, I guess both styles have been done in resin at one time.
  6. Didn't Modelhaus make a Cheetah? Or is my brain getting more fried over time?
  7. Walking back from the grocery store last evening, I saw a pretty nice Cameo. Non-factory grey with the white accent, lowered a bit with aftermarket wheels. There is a classic Chevy parts place in the nearby industrial area, so he may have been coming from there. No pics, I had a grocery bag in each hand.....
  8. Probably this. I went down a rabbit hole today and learned way more about Y-Blocks than I needed to. Should have called my friend Dave, who I have nicknamed "Mr. Y-Block". He currently owns 5 '56 Fords. A convertible that has been in pieces for 10 or so years, but most everything is done except reassembly. Also a Victoria, a Crown Victoria, and two 4-door Fairlanes. All with 312s. One of the 4 doors is a 3-speed with OD. Cool build nonetheless. Kind of like 1964 meets 2021.
  9. Nice! I have one on the way and was thinking of using the Artesian Turquoise that I already have in stock. I think you just reinforced that idea.

  11. I have wondered the same thing. A 312 with an .060" overbore is a 322, and I don't know if it is possible to bore one that much. Maybe a common combination of overbore and a stroker crank?
  12. It is. Studebaker got the tooling from Dodge to make the Spaceside beds instead of tooling their own.
  13. Yup, I saw that. Was amazed how many Delica camper conversions there were roaming around British Columbia when I was last there.
  14. Noticed the Delicas in the background. I never knew that they were kitted. Now I want one.....
  15. The Supernatural Impala has been scarce in brick and mortar stores around here. I saw one at HL back in June, but no more have appeared at any HL and I have never seen one at the LHS. Congratulations on the score!
  16. Yeah, probably, but then you have a dually without wheels. I have so much junk around here that sometimes I just buy what I need. I bought two sets of the dually wheels from Modelhaus 1.0, and I don't remember them being $18/set. Don also offered them in chrome. Scenes Unlimited has some nice dually wheels as well, but they are $25.
  17. Modelhaus Tires still makes the Chevy dually repop set, #802 https://www.modelhaustires.com/collection/802 #800 is also a dually set.
  18. Let's just say that it is a 12v battery with a 6v battery topper on it to make it look original. ?
  19. brother's Playboy stash
