Looks great and is a great instance of a stunning paint job using rattle cans. My only suggestion would be to think about finding a 12v battery in your stash and swapping it. Cadillac was one of the earlier adopters of 12v in 1953 and it would make sense that the car would be updated to 12v rather than backdating the starter, coil, and generator to 6v.

Can you get J-B Weld in the U.K.? Given that this is a diecast and the amount of wear on the fin, I think I would want something that dries as hard as the surrounding metal. -

There will be all kinds of answers to this, but I would use a "warmer" white like Model Master Wimbledon White or Tamiya Racing White. -

"Cathouse Red" crushed velour button-tufted seats and clearcoated red oak baseboard molding on the matching door panels just looked out of place in that type of vehicle to me. They also made a "C150" version with either a 5.0 or 5.8L that was based on the F150. I don't remember ever seeing one though. -

I saw the '73 ElCamino on the website and I remembered a discussion about a recaster "modifying" another caster's work and claiming it as his own. I do remember it came up a few times on here and I am not saying that it is true or false. Looking at his stuff, some of it is obviously copied from out of production kits (wish he hadn't copied the '76 Caprice chassis with catalytic converter for his 71-74 kits). On the other stuff like the '84 Caprice, wagons, the Suburban, etc, I was wondering if they are from his masters or if they are recasts. I messaged him last night with a question about a kit and a body. Got a response right away, but he did not answer my very simple "this or that" question. -

Yes, most/all of the ones I saw at the dealership were F350 4x4 Diesels. The interiors were poorly made, and looked like something stolen from a conversion van. -

Could someone post a link to their store or one of their auctions? I really suck at searching eBay by seller. It hardly ever works. redlinerestorations2015-8 Found it. -
In California that would be on your comprehensive at whatever deductible you carry. The S10 has had a big crack in the windshield for about 7 years. $250 deductible, $247 windshield. It will be windshield #6 if I replace it......

I don't buy spray paint from HL. Around here, you have to get someone to open the cabinet, then they march the paint to the front of the store and leave it at the returns register until you are ready to check out. -
Paper towel and white glue, painted very dark grey or black. "Underhood insulation blanket" will cover a multitude of sins.

Mother in law and stepfather in law moved to Prescott from SoCal in 1992. He died in 1999, she lived there until 2012 when her health got so bad that she moved here. She died in late 2012. Spent plenty of time there, including trips to Jerome. -

I understood what you were saying, and it wasn't that you thought R2 was failing. Everything in the middle paragraph is true. Sears Holdings is a perfect example of a completely worthless company that owns a lot of real estate. Unfortunately, COVID swooped in and snatched the floor out from under the value of shopping center real estate. Eddie Lampert has already bled everything else that was of value out of the company, and nobody seems to want Kenmore. A Fortune 500 company bought the little (former) startup I work for in 1996 because they liked what we were doing and they thought they could sell our product to their existing customers and their product to our customers. Seems to have worked out pretty well for everyone. I hope everything works out well for R2. They have a lot of cool stuff and seem to have a very pro-hobby attitude.
