Ok, here it is at about 99%, just need a couple small decals and a license plate. You can actually see the carpet through rear glass. I'll do some better pics after that.

Did I mention how much I hate dealing with windows??? Here's pics of final paint and some assembly. A few decals to be added and obviously....new side windows! As BDSchindler mentioned the windshield doesn't fit quite right. A lot of tweaking had to be done because the A pillars are slightly different than on the kit body. Also cracked open the 50th anniversary kit for the open grill, much better!

That sounds like a good idea. But the wire I had and what I could find is aluminum, so holding the shape is challenging. -

Thanks for the encouraging remarks! If you look at the first bench seat, there is a center split. I added it after the seat was made. And yes it should be "1/3" or "1/4" split, but I wasn't rebuilding the seat. -
Saw this last Friday (non 40% week)didn't get back until this Thursday, also picked up the parts paint rack.

Thank you!

Does anyone still make these, or something similar? I have the plastic nut and bolt heads you cut from the sheet, but I like these with the shank attached to use as actual pins/bolts for extra strength and security. LMK, Thanks

Thank you, the paint did come out very nice. In that light and angle, it looks very glossy, but in reality it's not. I shot some Tamiya TS-13 clear over the Pearl Clear, then finding out that's only a 1K finish. So I've not perfected my polishing skills and was hesitant to try it. I even spent an hour prepping a Vette body to be my guinea pig for practice, but decided to go for it . So far the hood is done and looks great. The body is in process! And yes, this is a very nice casting, I'm thinking of getting another for a second version.

Got the body painted, Tamiya Gunmetal Grey and currently two initial coats of Tamiya Pearl Clear. I may add another coat or a straight clear.

I painted a body with Tamiya Gunmetal Grey. Tested both clears on spoons, but the 'clear' seems glossier than the 'pearl clear'. Is this normal? The Gunmetal had approximately 24hrs to dry... Did I defeat the effect of the pearl, putting it on a dark color? If I recoat, will it gloss up? Can I use the TS-65 clear over it? Thanks.....

Got back on the Camaro. Body is primed, I will add one more coat before paint. Finally made progress on the front airdam, some touch-up still to be done. I really need to get my spray booth made, I have projects starting to stack up because I would rather wait to get that done before final paint jobs are attempted. Anyway... here's the pics..

No, I would say not! Looks good!

They are nice, but in my opinion, too heavy for a plastic model. I have a SBC and a BBC set, but I plan on selling them. I have tried ways to polish certain parts to a higher shine, to no avail. Not a pewter guy.

This isn't much of an update, but sure feels like it! Playing with ideas and materials to get the u-bolts as right as I could, styrene, piano wire, straight pin shanks... Finally got the styrene to work for me. -
Certainly, either use warm water, or I like a hair dryer. Just be patient and let it rest afterward. Even hit with cool air to set it. It's best to make a jig and tape it down until you have let it cool. Just think about how it will move and if it will look ok . Worst case, you can pin it back in place if it fails. This is based on my opinion and experience, others may certainly have other options.

So... interior is done, unless I come up with a few extras to place in there... I'm not proud of my window cranks, but they'll do. -

That's very non specific, what are you wanting to know? -
Some nice carpet jobs guys! I have recently started this process myself, my concern was smoothness, so I opted out of Elmer's. I used an old can of enamel paint(yes, same / similar color). Taped off areas not to carpeted, and it looks very nice to me. I used embossing powder for these.
