  1. Got this resin GT 40 X-1 Roadster conversion kit. It'll need lots of prep work to look good.
  2. Here's the conversion kit for the GT 40X-1 roadster, will need lots of prep work, multiple pages of instruction with pics.
  3. I eyeballed the kit when he first listed it on eBay, wasn't sure about the detail. Recently he has listed a conversion for the GT 40, to the X-1 Roadster. Now that you listed his website, I somehow pulled the trigger on that one. Thanks for that!! LOL. I'll report on that one when it comes in.
  4. I believe I used a combination of a circular blade for the Dremel and back of a broken #11 blade. Certain scribers could be affective, finish with files and sandpaper
  5. Got these Saturday at Sharon PA show, Vette needs one wheel and tire if anyone has one.
  6. Thank you all, starting on new suspension. Going 4WD with a few inches of lift.
  7. Hood is now blended in... maybe a bit of fine tuning, but...
  8. Over due update.... installed rain channels, fabbed rear hatch, lengthened frame, cut seats apart (lines on seat portion where muddled), hood scoop arrived and I customized that to fit, blending of the scoop is next. Started prepping the 3d printed BB,but they supplied a trani that's too small in scale.
  9. Easy to deal with, beautiful decals!! I haven't actually applied them, as the car is not built yet.
  10. This is for Christmas from my wife, but still on it's way.
  11. Thank you, probably going with 4wd chassis.
  12. Finally got one of these for an amazing price! I had realized, at some point, this was a curbside, but not that the undercarriage was cast metal and brass tubing. Very interesting.
  13. 'Off The Sprue' has a deep set.
  14. So I guess mine is a cross between a panel and a suburban...... Actually had two 1:1s in the family myself, but two young or not as interested back then. I thought the options were two or four doors, which I considered also. But I guess the panels only had two front doors. But if you look at the development/prototype photos, they show two or four doors. Thanks for the info.
  15. Well this is a two door, and as I stated, I planned on splitting the seat. I chose a center split.
  16. Changed direction a bit, chose front seats, made the rear two. After looking at these pics, I remembered I wanted/need to make the second row seat a split bench. Nothing a saw or scriber can't fix!!
  17. Added new detail to front panels plus arm rests. Door handle and window crank next.
  18. The more I looked at the roof, I had to change it. I restructured my jig and contoured it a bit more. Here's a good start to the interior tub, looking at the front panel, I may change that now too.
  19. Two more for my racing collection
  20. I have been using MCW thin fast cement, which works well. I am going to try and match what he is making it from. By the smell, it may be an enamel reducer or something close. I also plan to take it to my local automotive paint supply store and ask them.
  21. This Porsche 962C just arrived from across the pond.
  22. Some updates, I have been doing a lot of bodywork to get details a bit sharper and correct, (some rework also....). Roof is mounted, filling in window trim, including rounded section near the rear most pillar, cut in gas filler port. I know the roof looks flat, but I did shape a contour into it.
  23. No decals, and yes that paint scheme will be difficult. Maybe someone will do decals for me by the time I get to work on it.
