  1. In my opinion, if the tape is painted, it will. But..... I'm not so sure if it will lay/adhere tightly. I've done it for racing harness branding, but nothing large scale like that.
  2. In the not so distant past, I remember someone making lifted/arched leaf springs, but the detail was only on one side. That lead me to start making my own from strip styrene, round stock, etc. A guy from Texas was making air bag and coil over set ups, but he disappeared on me and others, not sure why. Off the Sprue has a lifted leaf set up, looks nice, but very "universal". Also, I think Iceman now makes one, not cheap, but a complete setup. I have encouraged a few guys to offer these, because I would like to see it also. But if not, scratch building I will be.
  3. I believe mine came from Hobby Lobby, it's white with a five footed roller base. I finally got tired of base being in my way, so about two months ago I welded a corresponding pipe to a piece of angle (×2) and placed one by the hobby table and one by the lathe. Now I can easily take it from one work area to another. I have had it for at least 5-6 years, is not LED, but pretty bright. I also bought a second ring bulb to have, but haven't needed it yet. Hope this helps!
  4. The Revell stepside is 2wd, length should be same or very close. Also some 3D aftermarket parts are available.
  5. On the bedside,I chose to remove the front section from the front edge and rebuild the perpendicular parts that connect with the front panel. The rear section I removed right behind the wheel opening. This option created one less body line to putty smooth. The floor I tried two methods, the first one I cut the front, patterned from another floor. The second I cut thin and reattached to the main floor. The rear I cut to length and sanded smooth to create the edge for the tailgate. Hope this helps!
  6. I did mine by using real dimensions and scaling the difference between an 8' and a 6' , removing some from both sections. Do a search on YouTube, I watched a guy do it after I did mine, he used a little different sectioning method, but it works.
  7. Nice, I will follow your progress. The Studes are of interest.
  8. Well, it's been a long time for an update, partially due to figuring out chassis issues, wheel options, and just plain couldn't find my posting. Finally had to search my attachments. I changed the wheels back to earlier choice. The front suspension parts from Iceman Collections are nice, but are too wide. Even both drop chassis I got are too wide also. Maybe a 1/24 scale truck might work, but how many are in 1/24?? I modified them some, but still ended up too wide. Not changing them again. Made the airbags from scratch on the lathe. Sooo....here it is.
  9. Almost time for the summer Sharon, PA model swap meet. June 18th, doors open 8AM I'll be there with kits, Hot Wheels, misc.
  10. Got this Polar Lights '66 finished a few weeks ago. I was working on other projects, and got an itch to do a Batmobile. Pics also show part of my collection. The '89 is currently a slot car, I may change it back some day.
  11. MCW has a new line of enamels, in addition to his lacquers.
  12. Great! For some reason I hadn't realized he had a full blown webpage! More drooling and future money spent!! I have some of items already, and yes they are top notch!
  13. Just finished the 66 Batmobile Polar Lights Snap kit, shown here with a few others on display.
  14. If there's a paint code for it.....I know Mike at MCW can make it! Just get in contact with him.
  15. I would check the lens and mirrors again, viewing at different angles, to let the light wash over them showing off any debris. It looks to be on the lens, could be as simple as a water spot or smudge.
  16. Picked this 1/16 scale Cobra and 917K. Didn't need another 917K,but it was only $10!. The MCW paint is Bare Metal(also dull alum. maybe). Mike was setup across from me with a large display of his paints and some nice resin pieces. Has a lot of enamel colors ready to go! Hard not to buy a bunch... luckily he's close for me.
  17. These are a couple great ones to add.. Texas 3 D Customs... https://tx3dcustoms.com/ Off The Sprue... https://offthesprue.com/
  18. Check our site for more info!!
  19. I don't know why,but I know it happened to me. I placed an order with a cosplay business, and couldn't receive information or a digital purchase. They stated they have problems sending items/emails to that provider. I have ATT and Yahoo, don't remember which one was the problem for them.
  20. Yes, I talked with him.
  21. Yes he is still open, I spoke with him about 3 weeks ago. I have seen/heard others that stated the same, but I have asked him about some of them, he states he didn't get them. Maybe there is an issue with certain email providers??
  22. Had a good time at the Buckeye Scale model show Saturday! Found a few things, had to restrain from spending more than I made. But this is the main find...
  23. I would also recommend places like Walmart, Amazon, or online beauty supplies. I found some at Walmart, 3/16"x 3/4"x 6" long, a few different grits, stiff, but cushioned core, with the nail files.
