  1. Bill I'm a learner I love to learn! In fact there are a lot of guys on here you included Bill that I look for your responses to questions because I know you have done your research. Please correct my if I am wrong!! I look forward to getting the right info. A bit off subject but today I spent well over an hour on wiki and other sources reading about fisher bodies and how they became a part of GM. Then that leads me another subject and etc. etc. etc. I guess it all comes down to the type of person the info is coming from.

  11. Oh this is the year I get back into fishing. When I was a younger lad I used to guide on gull lake up in Brainerd MN. At that time I had an uncle who worked for lindy lil joe. I still have a ton of great tackle and every spoon (daredevil) under the sun. But after I went to school got a job and stuff I never have time and that is sad because it's one of my favorite hobbies.
  12. Wow nice job!!
  13. Horror story of my younger days my oldsmobile had gotten rearended and totaled. I was without a car. My buddy Max let my have his merkur scorpio while I waited to get a new car. Worst car I ever drove! it was three years old and nothing electrical worked on it. Long story short Max is lucky I still call him a friend and he still has the car. He wants to know if he can get a model of a merkur or a promo? I thought he might have better luck looking for a ford scorpio or what ever it was called in a foriegn market maybe? Any thoughts from you guys? Not sure if this goes here now or in the Q.A. Section so sorry if I'm in the wrong place. Maybe you guys from across the pond know of something close
  14. Great stuff guys! Yummy! Sorry mods I wasn't aware of the change yet
  15. Here in MN nothing says spring like a BBQ /grilling. Me I love carcoal you can't beat the taste! Tonight is brats with peppers and onions. This is my second time on the grill this year so glad spring is here. What is your favorite BBQ items?
  16. You said "it's not perfect" from what I see it may not be perfect but it's pretty darn close. Great job
  17. So I got the idea to chop a top on one of the models I have in my stash. as I looked at them and I started wondering. I know there will be no definitive answer here. First question is was it just a custom look or did it serve a purpose like for air flow or weight. What cars are are generally chopped? Like I have never seen a 70 roadrunner chopped but why? Lastly I'm thinking of chopping the roof down in my 40 ford P/U do you think I need a second cab?
  18. Looks nice. I like the way you went with it instead of doing the Lil red express look
  19. So awhile back at the time my I got my girlfriend's son a snap tite revell 70 chevelle. He worked on it and did a great job I don't want to change a thing. but since it is not painted a little bit of dust and finger prints from him showing all his friends it is lacking the luster it once had. I was wondering if there was anything i can do to improve it's shine? I know it's colored plastic but could polishing it help? thanks for the ideas guys
  20. I knew she was a keeper when I found my camaro from high school and she urged me to buy it. Said it was fate that my camaro and I were meant to be together. Sorry no pic of the car but I don't have a functional camera right now.
  21. Well guys I got an answer from her I didn't expect. She loves it! She wants to work on it. The money wasn't a big deal because it's her dream car
  22. Good question freak. Like I said it has an H in the vin but what I thought of fords was all 351's where mach 1's bit there isn't a single marking if that is so. But from what I read it's only a 2 v carb so I'm looking for an answer from the ford guys
