Looks good.

Good stuff Chuck. I was actually going to approach you with the task of producing this decal along with the Warfish car but it looks like you are ahead of me.

As nice as this looks in pictures it's even better to have seen it in person. Awesome build.

Home this weekend so I was able to get a little bench time. Worked up some engine bay side panels along with getting the hood painted and decaled.

AMT M&H Racemaster Dragster Slicks & Parts Pack Tires

I'm using a set on a current build and they look pretty acceptable to me. -
All you need to do is to click on the web site link a few spots above and you will see that the site is active and shows that it was last updated on 04/27/15. Sounds like there's business being done.

Here's a few more pics. of the partial chassis and engine assembly.

Thanks. the decals are a bit darker than what they would normally look like as I had to double these up due to a workbench incident that damaged the original set. Which brings me to this disclaimer. If you are ever battling a flying wasp in your workshop and your trying to kill it with wasp spray make sure that the overspray will not land on a painted/decaled body. Found out the hard way that insect spray makes for a perfect paint stripper. Or in this case little white specks where the spray landed on the roof and stripped the decal in spots.

Are you looking for modern era or period pieces. I have plenty of pics. saved of other folks builds but it wouldn't be my place to post up other peoples builds without their knowledge. -
If you have been following my Honker AWB build you may have seen this project sitting in the background. It is another build that I started on a number of years ago that I have just recently gotten back to work on it. It started life as a glue bomb builtup Johan funny car that I was able to tear down and refresh most of the parts. I am using Whoopiekat decals. The finished piece will pretty much be an out-of-the-box build with only a few minor changes. For one I'm using the AMT parts pack M & H Racemaster slicks and the glass is clear acetate as the kit glass was beyond salvage. So far I have gotten the body painted and decaled along with rebuilding the chassis, interior tin, new glass and the front suspension is complete to the point that I am able to mount the front tires and wheels. I am also currently working on the engine and rear suspension.

So I got the hood cut out and ready for paint along with getting the engine mounted. I needed to have it permanently mounted to get the hood opening just right and now I can start on the headers which will be scratchbuilt individual tubes and collectors.

What did you see on the road today?
1320wayne replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Saw this today. A 50 Chevy COE with a mid engine big block Chevy. If you look just behind the cab you can see the shotgun blower hat just sticking up above the body panels. -
More to update. The engine is really starting to take shape. Valve covers are on as well as the injector stacks. These stacks from Detail Master are probably the best I've seen aside from the ones from Joe Cardoza. The small white bracket is a scratchbuilt transmission mount that I made from styrene as the engine has been set back inside the engine bay which moved the mounting position for the trans. back further as well. The drilled hole is the mounting point on the transmission shaft and the forward parts of the bracket will mount to the cross brace in their original positions.

Was able to get started on the engine and getting it situated inside the engine bay. Block and transmission are painted and assembled along with the intake and oil pan so I can see how it will sit. I also shaved down a pre-painted hood from a Polar Lights 65 kit and got it to fit perfectly. Now once the engine is in place with the injector stacks I can see where to make the cutout for the injectors and get the hood painted and decaled.

The overall kit is pretty much kitbashed from different parts. The body is a resin piece (maker unknown) the chassis is a combination of parts from different kits and the engine is also a combination of parts from the parts box and different aftermarket companies. PDP stands for Performance Detail Products and they made resin parts and decal sets back in the late 90's early 2000's. I'm not sure but I beieve that they are no longer in business and finding any of their past items may not be very easy. Stuff pops up on Ebay from time to time or at swap meets.

Decals are done. Very pleased with these PDP decals. I've only used one other set on a Hawaiian funny car build and they were great but to put white panels over a red paint job and have virtually no bleedthrough was a pleasant surprise.

Here are some from my travels Gotta love the paint schemes on Wolfpack rigs If anyone has ever seen the Jason Aldean video for Night Train you will notice that his stage show entourage of trucks are featured in it. I saw all nine trucks at a T/A in Virginia back in 2013. The old Clay Millican race hauler from 2007. This is sitting like this at the Werner trailer yard in Omaha.
