  1. Kevin Ellis was his name and yes he had some great items. The biggest problem it seemed with Kevin is he was very hard to either get a hold of or stay in touch with. I have had dealings with him over the past couple of years where I could communicate with him via email for a few days and then he would disappear for 6 months to a year before chiming back in. A couple of days later he would be gone again. My last contact was in dealings with trying to purchase his entire line of decals and resins. That was almost 2 years ago. Haven't heard from him since.
  2. The 37 is available now.
  3. Well, it's time for the big leap into the aftermarket world. My current job has now freed me up to be home on weekends so it's that time to start offering what I create to the public to where I can keep up with whatever orders come in. For those of you that may have ever ordered items from a company known as Top End Miniatures (they don't exist any more) I was the silent partner with Chris Buck that did the majority of the masters. Once Chris was no longer able to play with resin due to health issues he turned over all of the molds and rights to me. I have been sitting on everything for a number of years along with still creating new masters but not having the available time to advertise and provide orders for anyone that may be interested. I came up with a new name and a new enthusiasm to make this work. I currently do not have an official website but you can view all available items with pricing at my Fotki album site. http://public.fotki.com/1320wayne/holeshot-resins/ In recent weeks I met Ted Bowe from Teds Modeling Marketplace and he placed a large order and will be carrying a lot of my items as well so if you frequent his site you can order from there as well. Due to my full time job I can say up front that my turn around for any orders will be in the 3 to 4 weeks area. I do not stock pile parts but cast as orders come in. And, I am also working on adding new items as frequently as time will allow. The majority of what I offer is garnered towards the drag race builder but I am also looking at branching out into other areas down the road. If you are interested in contacting me for any questions or placing an order you can send me a pm here or email me at waynes4880@aol.com With all of this being said here is the latest pro mod body that I just finished the mold process on. It's a 37 Chevy with a sloped deck for the builder to add whatever type of wing they like.
  4. Another good looking build Daryl.
  5. Another superb build Daryl.
  6. Very nice build. Love the paint scheme and lace graphics.
  7. That's cool.
  8. Great job Daryl.
  9. Another great looking build.
  10. Very nice build. Love the paint and overall finish work.
  11. No offense towards anyones work shown here but body masters is something I've been doing for years so why would I spend money for someone elses work when I can do for myself and ultimately be happy with what I create? Like I mentioned above, I am not completely satisfied with anything available so I will continue on my own. I'm not satisfied with what I've done so far but will keep working on it until I am. Of course the other issue is that if you look at most of the cars run from this era using this body they all have differences in them in some form or another. From spoilers to greenhouse to side profile to fender configurations no two are alike so it's almost impossible to get a body to look perfect for multiple subjects. Thanks for the input though.
  12. That's the plan at this point. I have enough different cars to do that I will at least need extra bodies for myself and most likely others if interested.
  13. Lately I have been loading up on some excellent decals from Chuck Boerner. Among them are a few to do Omni/Charger style funny cars from the early 80's. Unfortunately there are no (in my opinion) useable body sources for any of these builds. Yes, there is an older MPC generic Charger bodied kit but the body is very undersized and the proportions are not the best. There are also a couple of resin bodies available but again nothing that I am liking as the body proportions are not the greatest. Then there is the worst example of them all; the AMT Chi Town Hustler Charger bodied kit that came out back in the late 80's. The body in this kit was probably the worst example of what the real thing was supposed to look like. So, I decided to venture into making my own by adjusting on an old buildup that I had picked up in a collection years ago. And which one was that? The worst one of the bunch! I started by stretching the body to make a reasonable wheelbase. Another problem with this AMT body is that it tapered way too much from front to back making for a very narrow frontend. I cut the body down the middle back to the windshield and then widened it. The body also needed a new front valence which I added. The thick, chunky feel of the body profile was rectified by first removing the too high rear spoiler (which will be replaced with something more appropriate) and then enlarging the rear wheelwells. The last thing I did was the cut the taillight panel from the back and reattach it with a better rearward angle and then raise and angle the rear bodywork upward. I still have a lot more to do but at least I believe that it's starting to look like something more representable.
  14. I have a bunch of his decals and they are all top notch.

  16. Was supposed to be home this weekend and was going to the show but I'm stuck in San Antonio with my truck in the repair shop. Hope everyone had a great time.
  17. Also, a few of the cars pictured in this album are not Citations. The Harris cars are Omnis and Arrows and the Bob Pickett car is an Arrow. And, maybe very hard to find but back in the 80's David Peters and David Ostizewski both had large lists of resin funny car bodies including Citation bodies. But, it looks like Chuck has it covered anyway.
  18. Awesome build.
  19. Looks good.
  20. Chuck, I just picked up both of these and they are awesome. I can't wait until I can find some time to actually use them. If these are successful sellers might you also consider two more versions? I would also buy a set for the slope nosed Vega version and the Monza version. Also, I picked up the McEwen Shooting Star decal which is another awesome decal. I was wondering if you were aware that if you made one simple addition to your sheet that it could actually be used for another version of the car? There was a red version with the same graphics and markings that was driven by John Collins. The only thing needed is the name for the roof. Thanks for the excellent decals and keep them coming.
  21. This years primary theme is Sunday! Sunday! Sunday!. In other words, there should be plenty of drag subjects, more so than most years past.
  22. Looks good Daryl.
  23. One more update on a few more things I did before heading back out on the road. Added some chassis pieces to block off the gaps between the door areas and the engine bay. Also added the start of the driveshaft tunnel and the beginnings of the front clip mounting braces.
  24. Well over a year since my last update on this one. While I am slowly working on the 69 Camaro I figured that I should try and get back to work on this one. Unfortunately, sitting packed away for some time a problem arose with the front clip where the clear coat formed a bunch of small bubbles in the finish that I was unable to rub out. So, looking like it's been in a crash and the repair work is being done I simply had to sand down the front end and start over with fresh paint and decals. Shouldn't be an issue matching it up as I have plenty of the original color to re-do the paint and printed off another sheet of decals. It also allows me to fix a few small flaws that I wasn't happy with as well. And while I am fixing the front clip I went back to work on the rear suspension. I got the inside of the body sanded down to the point where the rear suspension fits perfectly and lines up with no problems. Now I can start on the links and the springs and spring mounts and get this thing permanently attached. Stay tuned for more progress. Still not home much but at least now my bench is setup where I can work on this one every time that I am home.
