  1. Looks really good Walter.
  2. You might be hard pressed to find what you are looking for. I did an extensive search online and throughout my own research archives and could find almost nothing for this subject matter. Ironically what I did find is that during this time period it appears that the preferred GM based stock/super stock body style used was the 86/87 Olds., which there is tons of data to find for this body style. Good luck in your search.
  3. That looks like someone did a straight resin mold off a 1/16 Milestones Creations diecast body. I could be wrong though. Don't know of any other resin source that is doing this body style in large scale.
  4. Very nice build indeed. The details look great and the paint work is superb.
  5. So I developed an idea in my head of what I wanted to change the paint scheme to, which will also flow over to a chopped A100 drag truck and a 45 foot Galaxie fifth wheel trailer. Shown below is a picture of what the second rebuild looked like along with the drag truck and trailer which are still to this day sitting in what was the first build paint scheme. After establishing in my head what I wanted I went about finding the images and graphics online that I could alter and resize and transfer onto decal film using my PC printer. I went with a red, white and blue and military (Army Racing) scheme. If you see wrinkles in the graphics in the pics. it is because the decal setting solution is still working. The finished product will be as smooth as possible. There is still plenty of work to go on finishing this rebuild but it is at least at the stage where I can show some pics. for everyone to see where I'm headed.
  6. With my job driving a truck OTR it becomes a bit of a challenge to find the time to get any bench time anymore. Over the past couple of months I have been able to make small steps with my latest project which is actually another rebuild of a build that I did back in the late 90's and then rebuilt it back in the late 2000's. Each time I was not happy with the final results so here we go again. The basic construction of the model from the last rebuild is staying intact with the most changes to the exterior. I also never documented any pictures of the chassis, engine, etc. before assembly last time so while it was apart this time I shot some pics. to show off what's underneath.
  7. Another awesome decal Chuck.
  8. Superb job Daryl. As to be expected with anything you build.
  9. Here's the only one that I could find right off hand. Al Eckstrand car.
  10. Nitrozilla I happen to have a set of the decals for the Stardust 66. They have been in my collection of decals for a number of years and even though I can't remember the source of who created them I do know that they are no longer available. Shoot me a message and we can discuss this further.
  11. Looks good Brett.
  12. Awesome, as usual.
  13. Excellent job Niko. Very clean and nicely detailed.
  14. Lookin good Daryl. The decals look really good. I'm glad they worked out for you. Give me a call when you get a chance. I've been trying to get ahold of you.
  15. No decals for this car.
  16. Nobody has ever cast a Plymouth Arrow Pro Stock body. There have been at least one, maybe two one-off built ups done but that is all. If anyone knows of any casters doing this body it's news to me.
  17. Hey Matt, it's funny that you sent this message when you did and where you were at because on the 28th I was leaving the drop yard in West Memphis and heading across to Corinth, MS to pick up a load that was leading me home to Florida. I'm home now, for a few days. Shortly after I got the Cascadia I was able to bring it to the Fontana, CA terminal for some attention to the Opti-idle system and while they had it I got the approval to increase the speed from 62 to 65, as it was embarrassing to not be able to pass any Schneider or Swift drivers all of a sudden. The tech. didn't set the governed speed correctly because I can now get it up to 66 before the throttle stop kicks in.
  18. Progress looks good Daryl. Looking forward to more soon.
  19. Scott, I would leave the area your speaking of. Yes, it will add strength during the mold making process but it also provides a good start to the drop in glass framework that would be needed and once the glass is installed it wouldn't be seen on the final build anyway.
  20. Hey Matt it's good to hear that things may be going in the right direction. For me, twelve times was a charm, with the Pete breaking down. I just came home from 5 weeks out and probably 2 of those 5 weeks was spent in numerous shops trying to get my truck fixed so it would last. Including a 7 day ordeal in a hotel in San Antonio so the local Pete/Rush Truck Center could jerk me around day after day at getting the truck fixed. And then when it was all done they still didn't fix it because it broke down again 2 days after I got it back. I then ended up at the Werner home base in Omaha and spent another 2 days there while they supposedly fixed the problem and a week after leaving there I ended up being towed to a Pete shop in Davenport, Ia. After 2 days there I contacted my FM and told him enough is enough, get me another truck. Finally he got me a rental car, I cleaned out the Pete, and headed off to Fulton, MO to pick up my new truck. It's a 2013 Cascadia and other than having to get the Gra-Gar guys to shut off the optimized idle that wouldn't work it seems to run pretty good. And it's much more comfortable inside. The only major issue is that this truck is only governed for 62 and that sucks. But anyway, I hope everything works out good for you with the new company.
  21. 10.5 turbo car would be great.
  22. Looks awesome Tyrone, as usual.
  23. Superb work so far Scott. As detail oriented as you were with the Fairmont I'm sure that your Mustang body will be as close to accurate as possible.
  24. Progress looks great Steve.
  25. Sounds to me like you would have to create your own decals to use on the project. Or even hand lettering talents. My own opinion is that there most likely won't be many entries just for that reason. Maybe I'm wrong though. Maybe it will inspire more modelers to find out that creating your own decals/graphics is not that difficult.
