  1. I believe that it has already been explained here in another post but I will review. Harry stated that the Hudson article was bumped at the last minute in light of the Ihobby show review and that the cover of this issue was suuposed to have been changed but the cover change missed the print deadline. So, the Hudson piece will appear in the next issue.
  2. That bug is too cool. I have been leaning towards doing the same type of front treatment for my Zombie Cruiser.
  3. Superb job Sean.
  4. The mounting hubs on the Protrack wheels can be removed with a Dremel and cutoff wheel. Takes a few minutes but it works fine. Have a cup of water nearby to dip the wheel while doing this as they will get hot fast from the cutting action.
  5. More progress on the Zombie Cruiser. The new tires are attached to the suspension all the way around and the fenders have been radiused to fit the bigger meats. And I added more plating to the body to protect the inhabitants of the vehicle. There will be more bodywork to come and then I can get started on paint and weathering. Working on ideas for an intense front ramming plate/cowcatcher if you will.
  6. Elsewhere, here, there is a post where Harry P. describes how Chuck Most's cover car, which was to be featured in this issue, was bumped for the Ihobby show review. Harry stated that the cover was supposed to have been changed but it missed a deadline so even though Chuck's Hudson is on this cover the feature will show up in the next issue.
  7. MicroNitro wheels are really nice but I don't understand why some folks seem to think that Pro Track wheels won't work for their application. I know that everyone has their opinions and likes/dislikes but I have yet to find a Protrack wheel that didn't work for what I wanted. Just saying. Here are some examples. I've used them on Mickey Thompson fronts, Frontrunners, Monogram/Revell rear slicks, So Real/Pegasus, Compresins and even some older MPC fronts that come with the old pro stock kits. No problems on any of them getting them to fit just right.
  8. Simply send me a PM with your regular email address and I can email it to you.
  9. O.K., so in my last post I mentioned a trip to Toys R Us to see if I could find some type of toy that comes close to matching 25th scale with some weaponry that I could use and I found it. So, now I have a new gun mocked up on the turret with more to come in other areas of the Zombie Cruiser (new name) along with the start to a rear deck plate. More to come.
  10. You can always try a mechanical drafting ink pen. Should give you consistent, perfect sized dots to represent rivets. Or, you could shoot me a PM with your address and I could print you a sheet of decals with all of the panel lines that you need like what you see below that I created for my Daytona pro mod.
  11. Art, not trying to toot my own horn here but I created a PDF how to for the 1/25th scale funny cars a few years back that I have provided for anyone that wanted it and it has plenty of pictures to illustrate the changes needed to adjust these kits. Everything that I spelled out for the 25th scale models will also apply to the 1/16th scale versions. Not that our techniques are the same by any means but the ultimate goal is the same regarding making the neccessary adjustments to these builds and pictures will definately do your tutorial justice especially with some of your terminology used. This is just my opinion of course.
  12. Progress is looking good Daryl. You use that egine on whatever project you like. I'm sure that it will look just as good in a Duster.
  13. O.K. Virgil, I have so many ongoing projects that need attention but this build has become so addictive that I came home from work and pushed evrything aside to get more done on the Land Cruiser. I decided to add more pieces from the tank shell along with switching over to some heavier meats. I have a trip to Toys R Us tommorrow to possibly find some more armament. I'm not sure how much of the Land Cruiser will still be recognizable when I'm done.
  14. Very nice looking build Joe.
  15. Well, I decided to get a quick start on this one so here are some pics. of the basic mockup of what I am working with. Don't mind the swirladelic paint job as it was something that I did many years back. The body will be stripped and an appropriate aggressor paint scheme will be applied. The turret came from a tank builtup that I had in the parts box. Don't know what it is or what it came from but it works for what I need. Many more changes to come including larger tires and more hardware for blasting those pesky zombies.
  16. You might need to be more specific about your needs. There are plenty of parts from many different sources but it would be easier to explain if the details were more specific.
  17. O.K. Virgil, I've seen enough of this thread to know that I must join in now. All of the projects look too cool. I went searching through the shop today to find that perfect project and stumbled upon a Tamiya Land Cruiser that I had built years ago and was never happy with the results. So, between that and some parts box tank projects along with plenty of games workshop items and modern aircraft armament I should be able to come up with something worthy of all the great projects that are ongoing. I will update later with some pics. My progress won't be at the same rate as others have already been as I have many projects going at once.
  18. That chassis mockup looks great. Your dedication to getting the details just right is paying off.
  19. That's funny. I didn't even see that in my own picture until you made mention of it. The figure in the background just happened to be sitting there and is being used in a diorama that I am working on.
  20. Even though I'm a diehard Patriots fan that is pretty cool. What did you do to acheive the graphics?
  21. Here are some rough cut images of a new body that I am working on. It is still in the very rough stages but is starting to take shape. The body is an AMT 78 Firebird Trans Am. I added wedge to the sides, stretched the nose, laid the roof down at a slight angle to give it the slight appearrance of a chop, added the hood bulge and am currently working on the rear fenders. Not sure if this body will see resin casting as that part of the hobby is currently in limbo with TEM being put on the shelf temporarily and most likely permanently.
  22. The only thing missing now is for the Mopar camp to switch over to a Challenger rather than the Avenger that is currently in use.
  23. Those are some good looking t-shirts but unfortunately you have nothing for a 280+ guy.
  24. Detail is looking really good Tyrone. As usual with your builds.
  25. Here is my one and only 49 Merc. that I've done. The kit is based on an AMT kit with a Jimmy Flintstone resin body.
