  1. O.K., I've got to go here. I am a huge football fan. Have been all of my life. Played some back in the day as well so I know a thing or two about the game. I am also a lifelong Pats. fan so yes, my opinions are biased, but at the same time can admit when strengths are not where they should be. So, that being said, I think people are seriously underestimating the overall strength of the Patriots as a team. Yes, throughout most of the season they were listed with one of, if not the worst defense statistically. But that was during the regular season. Things can change when you reach the postseason and I think they proved that this past weekend. I know that every team has a different look about them and your defense has to play differently depending on who your up against. But I also know what I saw this past weekend and that was total domination of a team that was listed (statistically) with the best rushing offense in the league. Yeah, Tebow is not as good as the hype but overall the Broncos had a pretty daunting offense. So try these stats. on for size. Patriots defense sacked the Broncos quarterback 5 times. They also contributed with 16 plays for negative yards. 16? That's almost unheard of. Give credit where credit is due and recognize that the regular season is in the past and the Pats. defense is ready for all comers. Plus, who is going to stop Brady and Welker and Gronkowski and Hernandez and Branch and Kevin Faulk out of the backfield and anything else they can throw at the best looking defense. Hey, I could be wrong, I've been there before, but I'm just saying. Watch and see.
  2. As of a few days ago the website was updated with the entire category listing for the show. Lots of good categories for us car/truck builders. More that one would expect out of an IPMS show, even the nat. convention. http://ipms2012.org/
  3. Only one person has ever blocked me from purchasing any of his items and that just happens to be the same person that copied my masters. Actually, I wasn't the one blocked from making the purchase. It was my dad, whom I share the same name as a junior, but this person thought it was me that he was blocking.
  4. The moving vehicles are all controlled with magnetics. The ships on the water are also controlled the same way. No radio controllers here.
  5. John Fox has said that Tebow reminds him of a young Steve Young. That doesn't bode to well for Tim as Steve's career was cut short due to too many concussions. If Tebow keeps playing the way that he has this year he will end up in the same boat (my opinion). I'm a Patriots fan through and through. The Packers are tough but not invincible. After all they have the worst ranked defense in the league when it comes to points allowed. Yes, the Patriots have the second worst in the league in that respect. The Super Bowl could very well come down to those two teams battling it out. Talk about a high scoring shootout! As far as the Steelers fan. Yes, they are the winningest dynasty in the NFL, no denying that. But, where are they now? The best part about tonights game is that now I can go back to work on Monday and not listen to all of the Steelers fans that I work with talk about how badly the Broncos were going to torch the Patriots. Life is good!
  6. If you go to the website you can find all of the background information on the creation of this setup. There is a wealth of information listed such as all of the technology that this group has created on their own over the years simply because it didn't exist beforehand. There are many more videos on the site including a few videos taken from the viewpoint of the front of the train so you get the feeling that you have been shrunk down and are in the layout. It's beyond cool. My wife and I are celebrating our anniversary this year with a trip to Europe in October and this will be a stop on our trip.
  7. Unfortunately Craig, you are dealing with one of the most rampantly unscrupulous parts of the modeling hobby. No offense to those resin casters that actually do have integrity about how they conduct their business practices. I have been doing this (resin casting and creating masters) for about five years now and have seen too many instances where someone was wronged, including myself. There have been certain parts and/or bodies that I have mastered that have ended up on someone elses site with them claiming that the work is theirs. When you call them out they simply lay down the claim that since they made a few little minor changes to the original part that they can now claim it as their own. That being said I can see where some casters may be a little leary about selling their stuff to another known caster. Not that everyone will practice such unethical behaviors but it still leaves the possibility of it happening in the back of your mind.
  8. Many different sources for holddown straps. I have used masking tape, detail seatbelt material, textured electrical tape and athletic tape in the past. They all work well and usually look the part in scale form.
  9. Here are a few builds from other builders that I've had archived in my albums. Hopefully they don't them being shown off. Doug Curran Rickard Frank Bennett
  10. This is probably the closest build I have that would partially qualify with the bomber nose art on the side.
  11. Received my parts today from Scott and this stuff is awesome. Everything is perfectly scaled and the overall detail is superb. Can't wait to get started with some of these parts. Thanks Scott. This is what we need to see more of in the future. More great aftermarket parts for us detail builders. You won't go wrong by picking up anything from Scott.
  12. Great job on the paint Brett. The rest of it isn't too shabby either.
  13. The Color Me Gone Top Sportsman style car was a 65 Dodge. It also wasn't very radical as some designs have been. Not to say that it wasn't a cool looking car though.
  14. I received a shipment of LED red and blue flashers from policecarmodels.com today. They are cool and very bright. And relatively simple to layout inside most kits.
  15. The unique body style is one factor that will make this build more interesting. I'm sure that most fans are familiar with the Dodge Fever car from back in the later 80's (no picture available) but here is another one that I have pics. of. Not that Daryl is going to go this radical with his body style but just wanted to show another version.
  16. I bought a can of the clear about a year ago and even though it sprayed well without any thinning needed I wasn't impressed with it at all. I sprayed at least three coats on a test body and I couldn't see any buildup or shine at all. Wasn't happy with the results so the can sits on the shelf never having been touched again.
  17. Very cool Daryl. Can't wait to see where you take this one.
  18. Here is the picture of the reworked decals. Looks like what Chuck showed above.
  19. Scott makes great stuff. My order is in already.
  20. Never mind, Chuck mentioned it above that the decals are/have been done by Chuck Boerner. That is who I was referring to.
  21. I had read on another forum that a person that has been making vintage funny car decals is supposedly in the works of making these decals. I will keep you updated on any added news about this.
