  1. That looks WAY better than I would expect for that attachment method! Cool stuff, but in your pics, at least on my screen it looks a bit bluer than I'd prefer. Is it perhaps more green and less saturated in person? Very curious to try this! Thanks for posting.
  2. Much improved head, and a neat build over all!
  3. Get some dirt on that body! Primer grabs dust like nothing else, so it's nearly impossible to keep this clean! Very cool build.
  4. That brings back so many memories; that one was my introduction to Dave Deal's models at about age 10, and I was blown away by the very idea of a 3D caricature! I loved the humor in the instructions, I loved Dave's drawing style, I loved how well the models translated his look, and I built every one I could find back then. Thanks for sharing this one! Nice save.
  5. Well done; I gotta get one of these! Got all the others in the stash.
  6. That is really nice! Your scratcbuilding added much realism, but it's so...clean! Where's the dirt?!!
  7. Very nice build; very authentic appearance!
  8. Very clean build, can't wait to see it completed! Cool car.
  9. That's about as good as an IMC kit can look, IMHO! The IMC tools ended up in the possession of Lindberg, who would occasionally pop them out, though I don't recall them releasing this particular kit. They are, however, responsible for my most-hated and reviled plastic disaster: the '48 Lincoln. Open the box, and you hear the sounds of orphans crying. ( and me, too) Beautiful picture of of a REAL Lincoln on the box, plastic inside would build just as accurate a model of the USS Enterprise as it would a Lincoln of any year...
  10. Period perfect! Nice looking build here.
  11. Nice work so far!
  12. Cool build! I personally love a good caricature, and we don't see enough of these kits done well. You really nailed it; excellent work!
  13. Ditto!
  14. That color scheme is outstanding! The paint really complements the wood tones, and vice versa.
  15. Car is coming along VERY nicely.
  16. That's just a great way to hone problem-solving skills; first you gotta create the problem!
  17. Gorgeous color; well done.

    Snazzy color combo!
  19. Back story or not, that color looks absolutely perfect for that car! Well done all around. As if I needed more reason to love it, you go and park it next to a handsome '63 Impala, one of my very favorite cars! Is there a build thread or more pics of the '63 here somewhere?
  20. You really did this car a justice; beautiful, clean build of one of GM's most handsome automobiles. We need a new-tool first generation Toronado. YOU HEAR ME, MOEBIUS?!
  21. This will be cool!
  22. It was fun and informative watching this car come together "on the workbench", and I will do my best to score one when available. That casting looks sooooo nice! Well done, and good luck with sales!
  23. Really love that gold paint. Nice custom!
