  1. Sweet little truck! That color works nicely with the decals.
  2. For a more accurate chassis, (I have a work-in-progress boxed up somewhere) the 65 Impala from revell is a good starting point. To get the correct length, I spliced the front portion of an AMT 62 Catalina, cutting just aft of the firewall to get a good glue surface on the Revell chassis pan. This insures you get the curved portion of the Pontiac frame rails just behind the wheel openings, which are shaped way differently on the BOP frames than the Chevy frames. I'll see if I can dig that sucker out...
  3. Ha! Yeah, it's a weird camouflage effect that makes the model hard to see; they blend together! (My eyes are really sensitive to things like that) Love the builds!
  4. Really nice job on these bikes, but that picture in the background makes the first one hard to look at!
  5. To echo everyone else; this is a really nice, clean build!
  6. Chassis now a drifter.
  7. Nice work here.
  8. You had a great year, really nice assortment! Hope this year goes as well or better!
  9. 2 cents worth of PaintShop...
  10. Love that maroon, and dig old customs, but for my tastes the front end is ponderous; would live to see half of everything there with a rolled pan on bottom. Your car your way, though, I'll eagerly watch a good build any way! Keep it up!
  11. Great treatments of this kit, just top notch!
  12. As much as I love the body mods, it's almost a shame to cover the interior up now! I like the tube-buggy look of you pic above. Kool stuff!
  13. Lookin' good!
  14. I learned that lesson the hard way back in 1980, when I owned a '63 Biscayne and bought a junkyard '63 Impala windshield that I couldn't use! Ouch. The differences are subtle, but definite.
  15. One thing you haven't addressed is the different A-pillar; both the angle and height are different on Chevy's sedans versus the hardtops. Sedans are a bit more "vertical" as opposed to laid back, and they are about an inch taller through the window openings. Look up replacement windshields for the real thing, and you'll see they are different parts altogether. Look closely at the side view of your model, and you'll see it looks slightly chopped. I just point this out because you are doing SUCH nice work to get this looking right. Keep it up!
  16. Robert, you unfortunately got one of Zvezda's worst kits of an SU 27; I have the same monstrosity in my collection, and a bit of digging on the web taught me that it is nothing but a reboxing of the old Nakotne kit, which was always known for ill proportions and generally poor fit, etc. It's confusing, though, because Zvezda also makes some beautiful Flanker kits. You really have to do your homework with those guys!
  17. Hope you haven't given up on this fun project!
  18. The more I see this body, the more I LOVE it. Cool color!

    1970 Firebird TA

Stylish paintwork; a great non-bellybuttton car!
  20. Nice paintwork; that color really makes the chrome stand out! Love it.
  21. Bernard, that's a sweet little racer! Well done.
