  1. VERY tasteful modern custom. Neat and clean, but realistically aggressive! Seen this model built plenty of times, but usually sacrifices realism for tacky and gaudy excess. This is how it's done!
  2. Some cars just demand two tone paint, don't they?! Very nice.
  3. Very nice; love that yellow! Can you share what paint exactly that is? ( I have a Dakota that would look good on )
  4. Your car, your way! I prefer models that appear more believable from an engineering standpoint; for example, would you be able to really turn the wheels on that car?
  5. Here's one I found that uses a 90 degree fitting out the front of the master cylinder. Probably as many variations as drivers/builders.
  6. Nice work on that TINY decal!
  7. I think I have one of that series; a pretty nice 64 Impala body, with a chopped top!
  8. Yep. (I had to Google it, I really thought it was Exxon!)
  9. Hang you one of those GTO "tiger tails" out from under the trunk lip to hide that bumper seam!
  10. Ha! Nice work here, good modeling basics applied superbly, and the ol' Goat is shaping up beautifully. More!
  11. Yeah, my '47 sat pretty well level at the rockers, as best I recall. The stance on your model doesn't detract at all, though, it has a believable appearance; quite realistic! Mattias, I never even considered any hop-ups for my six, I'd never heard about that particular weakness! I learn on this forum continually.
  12. As clean a build of that kit as anyone could want. Beautiful work.
  13. Great job on this, BTW! Very clean, but I still prefer the 57 Desoto!?
  14. Chrysler used their flat head six longer than anyone because it was a simple and dependable engine. I can attest; in the late 80s I owned a 1947 Plymouth Special Deluxe 2 door coupe with a flat head six, and that car ran quiet, idled smooth, and started in cold weather as good as any car I've owned since. Surprised everyone who opened the hood!
  15. Loved seeing this one come together. One of my favorites, real and scale!
  16. I think I would just restore my best wheel, put my best tire on it, and make a silicone mold and cast the entire wheel/tire assembly in resin. Use the black dye to get a nice black resin, and cast plenty; you won't even need to paint the "tire", just mask and paint the wheel your chosen finish. Black resin does a very nice job of mimicking new rubber. Good luck!
  17. That's a good looking kit when finished, one of Monogram's best IMHO, but it will test your patience. I seem to remember having to fiddle quite a bit getting the wheels centered in their respective openings, both front and rear, and needing to adjust ride height as well.
  18. From the packaging, it appears the same place you got those has a 1/25 option. That may be only the tires, though.
  19. Yeah, I have already been properly beeyotch-slapped by Nazz for that brainfart.
  20. Need to find one!
  21. +1 on your color choices! I was immediately struck with an idea while ogling the pics of the empty body; that could pretty easily be built into a mid-engine custom by reversing the engine and cockpit positions!
  22. If I had a nickel for every time I said that...
  23. Go to the site I linked above, choose your vehicle as: 2003, then Chrysler, then PT Cruiser. Scroll down to Tangerine Pearl (code VE/AVE). They have it, it's a weirdly organized site. The first time, I just typed Tangerine Pearl into the search box at the top of the page.
  24. What a neat little 'bird! Looks nicely proportioned in the pics. Who makes this? Revell?
