  1. Had a smooth trading experience with philo426, easily trust to trade with anytime.
  2. That sits better than about any build of that kit I've seen! Liking the color, kinda lukewarm on the wheels. Keep it going!
  3. Ditto the good vibes and best wishes.
  4. We could use a hoe improvement store around my hometown...?
  5. Nice, clean build. Really like a quality build, regardless of subject.
  6. Very classy looking Desoto; always thought this roof line was one of the most stylish of the '50s from any car maker.
  7. Off to a great start! Keep it up...
  8. Loving those old bike kits; never seen either of those! FWIW, I don't consider either post above to be threadjacking, since I already got the info I needed!
  9. Holy smokes! The memories just come flooding back! THANK YOU, CASEY! Wow, I love this forum. What a body of knowledge we have here. Makes sense to me now that it was a Pyro kit! This one and the Aurora F9F Panther are among my earliest modelling memories. I can just smell the Testors glue and enamel thinner... Thank you again.
  10. When I was about 11 or 12 years old, I received a gift of a motorcycle kit that had everything that could appeal to a model building kid like me. Of course, the box art promised much more than what the contents delivered, but I had a blast building the thing. It was a fairly small kit, maybe just some box-scale thing. It was maybe a Harley, but it was ridden by a skeleton decked out as a cowboy! Instead of a seat, there was a saddle. The skeleton had a hat, pistol, rifle (maybe in a holster?), and wasn't really molded as pictured on the box. I do remember (disappointment) that there were no chromed pieces, just all white plastic. I have never since seen another one, but would like to find one, if for no other reason than to see just how bad it may have been! Has anyone ever heard of or remember such a critter?

Nicely done! You don't see many of these built, but this may inspire a few more.
  12. Very creative use of an otherwise scrap piece. Love it! Tasteful color combos on both the models pictured; care to share exactly what colors you used?
  13. NICE. Absolutely love that under-hood picture; clean and realistic detail.
  14. Fill the lines on the right side and power through it! Love those springs, they would easily convert to old-school traction bars.
  15. This is such a fun build to watch; great work !
  16. Where's the angel hair?!
  17. Hey look, there's a motorcycle model! (and it's a nice one) ?
  18. Agreed; good scratch-building skills at work here.
  19. +1 on the single action airbrush; you will be surprised at just how much control you have with one. Paasche H is a workhorse. DickBlick.com (art supplies) has good prices.
  20. Happy to see this continued!
  21. I agree with others here; keep the wheels as they are! Beautiful body work here, keep up the good work!
  22. MMOOOORRRRE!
  23. BTW, what is the source of those headlight units?
  24. Heck yeah! Old school metalflake look down to a T!
  25. These 57 interiors, these very color and fabrics, are among my very favorite old car interiors. Beautiful 59s (makes me miss my 59 Biscayne), and I'd love to see that Pagan gold used on a 57 Chevy; such a gorgeous color!
