  1. Perfect color choices! Nicely done.
  2. Oh heck yeah, since you you have the tools and knowledge, why not personalize your ride with some custom emblems? More power to you!
  3. Yeah, there's a lesson there...kit instructions/guides are notoriously suspect when it comes to color recommendations! Transmissions are generally flat cast aluminum, while we're at it! I only bring these issues up because your build otherwise is showing real sensitivity to detail. Keep it up!
  4. Really clean job so far! If you're going for a stock appearance, paint that distributor cap satin black.
  5. Where did you get that carb?
  6. I especially like the swoop of the C-pillar, it looks nicer on the Elky than the coupe!
  7. Being a custom, the drip rails are probably intentionally shaved.
  8. Have to echo some of what's been said here just to drive home the point; a Badger 200 or Paasche H is not just the perfect beginner airbrush, but are airbrushes you will continue to fall back on even if you decide to "upgrade" later. They are solid, serious working tools, and you can feel it when you pick one up. They are versatile, and highly adjustable, so don't be put off by the "single action" aspect, for model cars they can amaze. Which to buy? Buy the one that's on sale. I'd rather have either and a cheap air tank than a cheap brush/compressor combo any day. Here's one: https://spraygunner.com/single-action-airbrush-set-badger-200-20-detail/ and... https://www.midwestairbrush.com/pahsiacaihos.html
  9. Nice work; what year is your 'vette?
  10. VERY nice work here, and a cool project!
  11. When I was just a kid, the "gotta have it" reaction to box art was set off by Monogram's "Badman", first and foremost. Bold yellow 55, red tinted glass and scoop, strong black graphic slashing over the fender; what's NOT to love?! The "Quicksilver" '60 Chevy delivery wagon was a close second, followed by the "Paddy Wagon". Hmmm, Tom Daniels fan, I reckon! Dave Deal's stuff was irresistible as well. Don't get me started on Aurora kits; they made me want everything; aircraft, dinosaurs, and especially movie monsters! Some modern art ticks all the right boxes, too, with Moebius' "56 Chrysler 300 being an outstanding example. Love it... This Alfa Romeo kit box is nicely rendered, too...
  12. Nice job again! You have a feel for the 50s! A technical question, are you shooting your pictures under fluorescent lights, or maybe "daylight" bulbs? There seems to be a strong blue-green cast to your pictures. Compare to the last photo to this one I did a quick correction to in PaintShopPro:
  13. Cool project, and love the real car as well!
  14. You really captured the look! Nice work.
  15. VERY tasteful modern custom. Neat and clean, but realistically aggressive! Seen this model built plenty of times, but usually sacrifices realism for tacky and gaudy excess. This is how it's done!
  16. Some cars just demand two tone paint, don't they?! Very nice.
  17. Very nice; love that yellow! Can you share what paint exactly that is? ( I have a Dakota that would look good on )
  18. Your car, your way! I prefer models that appear more believable from an engineering standpoint; for example, would you be able to really turn the wheels on that car?
  19. Here's one I found that uses a 90 degree fitting out the front of the master cylinder. Probably as many variations as drivers/builders.
  20. Nice work on that TINY decal!
  21. I think I have one of that series; a pretty nice 64 Impala body, with a chopped top!
  22. Yep. (I had to Google it, I really thought it was Exxon!)
  23. Hang you one of those GTO "tiger tails" out from under the trunk lip to hide that bumper seam!
  24. Ha! Nice work here, good modeling basics applied superbly, and the ol' Goat is shaping up beautifully. More!
